  1. First day (used BB PRICELINE links) wanted Area 6 Mt Pleasant - Isle of Palm. Started with 4* @ $55, rejected. Dropped to 3.5* @$50, rejected. Dropped to 3* @$50, rejected. Added Area 2 (2.5* highest) and raised bid to $53 and it worked. Total price $69.66. Lowest price (prepaid) online i $97.86 including tax. Saved about 28%. Thanks BB! Here's to a great New Year!
  2. Started at $35 with North area, was declined but told could have room for $43. Added another area and went to $37, still declined. Added the 3rd area and bid $39 which was accepted. Have stayed here before and very nice hotel for an overnight stay. Total price is $52.24. Of course I used BB PRICELINE links.
  3. Have stayed here many times. Happy with this hotel. USed BB links.
  4. I have no idea which zone this is in as it isn't indicated in the title and I started bidding in Zone 1 for $35 (got the "bid $45 and you can have it" deal), added zone 2 for $37, and then added zone 3 for $39 which was accepted. It's just a stop off on a long trip so any zone works for us. Total is $52.25. Of course we used BB PRICELINE links.
  5. Been working on this for several days with bids from $50 to $53. Was experimenting with using same $$ amounts on different days and found it interesting that a bid rejected a couple of times earlier was today accepted. Today the $53 bid was accepted. Total is $68.03 ($53 +$15.03). I checked online and hotel prices for prepaid room was $116 + $16.82 in taxes or total of $132.82. Sometimes I question the higher taxes and fees but of course, when you pay more for the room the taxes go up. That's a little over 51% savings and both were prepaid rates. We are very happy with this. Used BB PRICELINE links. Just two more rooms to book and this football season will be taken over. You can see that I have booked 194 rooms using your site. Just want to say we have, not even once, been disappointed with the rooms we received. Thank you again for helping me with my Hotwire and Priceline bids. I usually go on to both HOTWIRE and PRICELINE EXPRESS to see what prices I can get without bidding and then start my bidding accordingly, usually $20 to $10 lower.
  6. Used BB PRICELINE links. Been working on this for quite awhile. Tried 3.5*, 3* up to $60 in almost all areas except those close to border. Today I started at $47 with 2.5 * and by adding areas found this hotel for $51. We are happy! Total price is $240.08 or $60 - We're happy. FYI - hotels.com shows this hotel at $97 with a "standard" rate of $129. Happy Camper!!!!! Thanks again.
  7. Used BB PRICELINE Links. Started out today with 3.5*; went from $40 to $50 with no luck. Cancelled out and started all over with 3*. On first try at $42 was told that for $11 more or $53 could have the room. This always tells me I can get my room for less so I went with $44 and $46 by adding non3* stars areas. Happy with the $46 for the Courtyard. Stayed there two years ago for the OSU/Utah game and very happy with this. Total for 2 nights is $112.24 - Room $92 and taxes and fees $20.24. Nonrefundable, prepaid room on another site is $157.84 so saved about 29%. FYI I tried to look back and see what we paid 2 years ago but your back pages don't work. When I went to Utah page 2 I got a completely different area of the country.
  8. Tried numerous combinations in "naming my own price". Went up to $38 in 2* and 2.5* in almost all the sections except Council Bluffs. All were rejected so decided to take Priceline up on a PRICELINE EXPRESS hotel. It showed 3 amenities - free breakfast, free internet and pets. Super 8's would not be my first choice but for $31 I didn't expect a Sheraton Four Seasons. Will suffice for a bed to sleep in on our way to Michigan.
  9. First Bid was for North Area at $35 2.5* and was rejected. Added Evansville, did not change stars or price and was accepted. Used SUMMER code and received 5% off price. Total was $84.96 for two room or $42.48 a piece. Of course I used your PRICELINE links. Thanks again for the site.
  10. Started on this yesterday. Went from $40 to $45 using all 4 areas and 2.5 star and up. No luck. Logged out and came back and started with 2* and again went through all 4 areas. On first area at $35 I got the "willing to add $11 up to $46" and the room is yours". Went to $39 with no luck. Started again tonight with the 2.5* and up, all four areas, $45 to $50 and again no luck. Logged out and went to work on the 2* starting at $40. Added another area and was accepted at $41. Total for 2 rooms = $103.24. Very happy.
  11. Started checking this out last week when this offer was $62. Waited around until today and price had risen to $70 but showed $69 when deal was done. Total cost for 3 rooms, 2 nights each was $472.82. As we wanted to be sure to get free parking didn't feel comfortable with PriceLine bidding which I usually do. FYI called Hotwire to see if the hotels suggested were the ones we would get or something like them - something like them or could be them was the answer. They did say that free parking would be included but couldn't assure that we would have shuttle service to the Metro (which Van Dorn location does offer). The "secret rate" doesn't show the amenities like they used to -- you can click it will show them - sorry but I didn't copy them before I booked and the offer no longer appears on the site. It was the usual free breakfast, free parking, free internet shown for a 2.5*. (Hotwire had told me they only had 3 rooms left at that rate which I thought was just a closing play but must have been true.
  12. Started out at 3* Area 11 (PDX) and $43; was rejected with caveat that if I increased it to $51 it was mine. No deal. Added Area 8 which does not have a 3* and bid $45. Accepted. We have stayed here a number of times and it is great for our purpose. We take our rental car back a day early and catch the shuttle to fly out the next day. Total price was $58.70 and of course we used BB PRICELINE links. Last trip to Oregon for this year - football season is almost over.
  13. Used BB Links. Started at 3*, area 3 and $50, rejected with caveat that could have room for $65. Added areas 8, 9, 10, 11 and went to $56 with all rejected. Backed out and restarted at 2.5 and $50 adding the above areas 1 at a time; was accepted at $53. Total of $67.97.
  14. Used BB PRICELINE links. Had area 6 inadvertently checked from my research when I started bidding with area 3; bid $50 3* and was rejected with caveat that I could get room for $69 immediately. Went back and added area 4 and went to $52 and bid was accepted for a total of $125.58. This will be okay, just have to drive a little farther but doubt if we could have gotten anything near this price without area 6.
  15. USED THE BB PRICELINE LINKS - PLEASE NOTE THIS HOTEL HAS BEEN INCREASED TO 2.5* FROM THE 2* PREVIOUSLY LISTED. Worked on this for several days - using the former $38 rate with no luck. Can't remember exactly at what price the "raise your bid to $58 and we will book the room today." I didn't since I still had time. Today I started at $50 with rejection but did get the $58 message. Added Fayetteville area and bid $52 and was successful. Have stayed here many times. It is an okay hotel - good beds and for us a great location when traveling to Canada back and forth to Canada. No compliants but of course, I liked the $38 rate a lot better. LOL Total is $65.97.
  16. Stayed at this hotel last time we were up for an Oregon State game and really liked the hotel. Was hoping this was the same hotel. Amenities Indoor pool(s) Fitness Center Pool(s) High-Speed Internet Access Free Parking Free Breakfast Free Internet Accessible path of travel. Showed recommended by 90%. The other 10% must be real, real picky because we really liked the place. Total cost for 2 days is $129.63. Believe me this is a good price if you are attending a game in Corvallis. It is about a half hour away and rooms in both Corvallis and Albany are ridiculous. We usually prefer Priceline but haven't had much luck with this area. Oh yes and I did use your HOTWIRE links.
  17. Last minute visit. Used the BB HOTWIRE Links. No luck with "name my own price" went up to $60 in Pittsburgh Airport, Erie and Grove City. Saw this listed on Hotwire and took it. Total $56.94. Showed Free Internet and Free Breakfast. Approved by 85%.
  18. Used BB links. Shock, shock - got this room at LAX on my very first try. Thanks to previous bid I had a few days so started a little lower and was accepted. Total price is $59.06. According to their website I could book a prepaid, nonrefundable room for $93 plus tax. Parking here is $15 + tax and they have a complimentary shuttle to airport. We usually take rental car back day early avoiding the parking and then catch shuttle to airport. Thanks again for the assistance this website offers.
  19. Used BB PRICELINE links. Tried areas 2 thru 5 in Pasadena area with bids from $45 to $50 all rejected. Switched to Burbank Area and bid area 1 for $45; added 2 and bid $50; added 4 and bid $52; added area 3 Simi Valley and backed bid down to $50. Accepted. This was for two rooms for two nights for $235.32. Very happy with Holiday Inn Express - decent breakfast and no parking which you have to be very careful about in LA area. Thanks!!! Going to the Oregon State/UCLA game at Rose Bowl to watch our OS grandson play - little far out but saving a lot of bucks makes us happy. Now just need a Beaver win to make trip complete. FYI Their website shows $102 without taxes as best available rate. Thanks BB.
  20. Used BB PRICELINE links. Been working on this for several days - started at $40 bidding in all 4 Ventura areas over several days. Finally accepted at $51. Don't know this hotel at all but really have never gotten a hotel we have been dissatisfied. Total is $121.94. Website shows $101 plus tax so looks like a great deal.
  21. USED BB LINKS! Just started today to bid on this room. As we were flying out needed room at Airport (Area 3). Started with $45 area 3 and was rejected with caveat that I could book the room by raising my bid to $56 immediately. Not for me; added zone 2 and bid $46, rejected. Added zone 4 and bid $47, rejected. Added one 6 and bid $48 - accepted. Total price is $61.71. Hotel online nonrefundable price is $63 ($71.16 with taxes). So we saved about $10 - not bad but every dollar adds up on this 3 week trip. Still have to make reservations in LA - looks like costs have gone up their so am figuring out our strategy. Oh, yes, named my own price for car rental in SLC and saved $45 - $215 best deal I could find and got car for $170. FYI for this segment of our trip we saved a little less than 50% - better bidding price (hotel, rental csr) $540 - online prices $1011. WE ARE HAPPY CAMPERS!!!!! THANK YOU BETTER BIDDING
  22. Used BB Links. Just finally got room for start of trip and decided to get room for last day in Portland. Had tried before many days starting at $45 with no success so for this first time I put in $50 and got on first try - always makes me wonder how much lower I could have gone. Oh well. Different hotel so will be interesting to compare. Have stated at Holiday Inn many times, first time for Red Lion. Total cost is $63.86.
  23. Used BB links - been working awhile on this. Started at $45 and was told room available for $63. Playing with area 9 and 10 I added $1 each day. They came down and said I could have room for $61 a couple of days ago which I once again ignored. Today 2nd try was accepted for $53. Interesting as when we were there in April desk clerk told me she had been told they were going to discontinue using Priceline in the near future so wasn't sure what we would get when we finally won a bid. Total is $67.30. Not bad as we save a day of car rental both going and coming. By the way got a great car rental rate (using BB links and naming my own price) for Portland - $13 a day for total of $41.71 - (taxes and fees are unbelievable) picking up on Friday and returning on Sunday. Didn't know where to post that.
  24. Used BB PRICELINE links. As I had plenty of time I started at $36. Was told I could immediately book room at $44. Decided to play the game so the next day I tried $37 again told could book at $44. Today I tried $38 and was accepted. Total of $91.98; hotel website shows $176.22 or $88.11 a night - not sure if that includes tax. Looks like a great deal for our fam for a wedding.
  25. Used BB PRICELINE links and also a $10 per night credit from Priceline to get this hotel at $30. Have to get another room for 2 nights so will be interesting to see what rate I can get there as I had to book this room today to get the $10 credit. Have a few days to play for the other room. Total price for 6 nights $216. Looks like a great deal.
