  1. Decided to stay this weekend in San Diego after a business trip. Time to relax and take in the great SD beer selections. I started with the PRICELINE link at the top of the page (thanks for a great site!), then did the following: mission valley east, 38 coronado, 40 hotel circle, 42 coastal, 44 downtown, 46 sorrento mesa, 48 del mar, 50 old town, 52 vista, 54 Accepted at $54/night in Sorrento Mesa at the Staybridge Suites. It's not my ideal location, but it's a very good price.
  2. I've got an interview on Thursday morning in VA beach. So instead of driving down and back from Baltimore on Thursday, I figured I'd drive down tomorrow, stay the night, then drive back on Thursday afternoon. Hence, a visit to this site and Priceline. -Started with VA Beach Area at $45. Declined with re-bid offer of $58. -Added Downtown Portsmouth and upped bid to $49. Declined. -Added Downtown Norfolk and upped bid to $51. Accepted. Used the PRICELINE link at the top of the page. Thanks for the great site! -Aatam
  3. Used the PRICELINE link at the top of the page. Thanks for having a great site! Started bidding at $55 for a 3.5* in Del Mar. Got a counteroffer for $70. Declined, added Coronado for $57. Fail. Added Escondido for $59. Fail. Added Point Loma for $61. Accepted. Marriott Del Mar. I'm a big fan of Marriotts -- I try to stay at them whenever I'm on business travel. Only part that sucks is that parking is $18/night.
  4. Sorry, forgot to mention using the PRICELINE link on this website. Thanks for the great information resource.
  5. 2 rooms, failed at 35, 38, 41. Finally won at 42/night. Not a bad deal -- free breakfast, free internet, pool, fitness room.
  6. It's a little late, but since I just joined today, I thought I'd add this win for posterity's sake. Started at $55 and worked my way up to a win at $65. Careful with hotels in the Downtown area. I got a great deal on the room -- but parking was $42/night! :)
  7. I've been a lurker of these forums for a while -- figured I should just sign up sooner or later. Started at $50/night for a 3 star in 4 locations and increased steadily (added areas w/o 3 stars) until accepted at $63.
