Last week I tried to book a car via NYOP. This page does not work even with AdBlocker off when generic car search works just fine.
I called Customer Support few times. They are saying it still should work on webpage and app.
I downloaded the app. NYOP option is not to be found in PL app.
I agree, it seems like PL is moving away from NYOP to become a generic travel search engine. If that happens PL will be useless for me.
It was not like that before. 10 years ago you could rent at PHX as low as $4 a day. All car rentals had independent lots near airport. Everything changed when they build new CONSOLIDATED car rental terminal! That resulted in leveling competition, terminal tax, city tax, tourist tax, stadium tax, tax, tax, tax, ... You've got the picture. Car rental becomes more expensive than in LAX.
I limited search only to coastal areas and tried 2.5 stars up to $38, later switched to 2 stars bid from $25 up.
Bid West Palm Beach at $40 got rejected.

Tried 3* from $25 up, no luck.

I downloaded Chrome and PL started working better, but still for car rental NYOP search message says: "Name Your Own Price is not available for the itinerary you requested. The best available rates are shown below."
