Bid $40 and $41 and finally landed on $42.

Started bid at $40, rejected and was offered $49. Figured I could do better than their offer, so I did $41 and then $42 which was accepted.

First bid worked at $45 for 3 star. However, looking at booking hotel directly, I expected to save $15, but really only saved $10 after fees. Priceline's fees are quite hefty compared to booking with the hotel directly.
