I was targeting the Residence Inn, but was expecting Carlyle. The price is definitely average at best, but I'm not sure I could've gotten 4*. Century Plaza has rates spike up to 400+ on Sept 9 and the Mondrian is sold out... the others are in the 300 price range average. I will be more patient next time though..

Had been trying this for under 120/night for several weeks.. started getting antsy and put in the above bid and it was accepted. Started $110 added free rebid Lawndale for $20 more. Wouldn't suggest anyone to do what I did with the ridiculous rebid, but my trip starts in a few days and I wanted to have everything set. Trip planning makes people do crazy things.. :)

I've been lurking on these forums for awhile and wanted to post a winning bid because it seems there hasn't been a lot posted for the 2nd week of September. Part of the reason is because I know there is a CITA Wireless Conference that has numerous hotel room blocks for most of the union square vicinity. If anyone is looking for a specific hotel you can look at CITA conference rates (ranges from 180-300). My bidding history for the above bid started at $110 and added free rebids in $10 increments until finally accepted by ICMH. Hope this helps. :) b
