  1. Did try lots of different scenarios for 9/3 to no avail. Successfully got this magnificent property for one Sunday night. I'm thrilled !!! Thanks.
  2. I can only VERY STRONGLY recommend this property : It is in my opinion a very solid 3*, with vans running 24 hours to the airport every 30 minutes; Hotel is 3-4 miles away from DFW. Rooms are confy and very spacious; to top it off free wireless internet at over 2Mb in the lobby and in the guest's rooms. Skype becomes handy in these occasions with excellent quality. An additional reason why I am a Priceline fan :)
  3. First bid and got it. Sorry... date is 5/16, 1 night
  4. Tried LAX 2,5* and above for $30 and $35, both rejected. Bid for LAX 2* for $27 and got it. :)
  5. Tried today and on Thursday the SFO area for $35 to no avail. Increased to $40 and got this property Doubletree Hotel San Francisco Airport .
  6. Got it at the first bid. This hotel is fantastic, have stayed there before - too bad there's no free wireless similar to the Hyatt SFO... Thanks for letting us share the knowledge.
  7. Please check my review of this property at CA Los Angeles LAX Furama Hotel. In a gist - One of the very best properties for the price I paid through Priceline.
  8. Prior to check-in Once at LAX I called the hotel up from the complimentary phones. It was swiftly answered and in less than ten minutes the van stopped to pick me up. Van went full, back to the hotel. Check-in Unfortunately I got at the end of the huge check-in line and it was already well past mid-night. It took over 15 minutes to get me to the front desk. My check-in didn't take more than two minutes. No questions asked. Reservation was in the system. I was given a tower room. Room Fantastic - that's one word I'd use to describe it. Very well appointed. Large king bed, cable TV, clean, ammenities in the bathroom, nice towels and good sheets in bed. Air conditioning working perfectly. Nice view towards the airport. Alarm-clock and fridge available... Check-out One just needs to leave the room - no need to stop by at front desk. Vans towards the airport run every thirty minutes. If a van gets full prior to the thirthy minute dead-line it IMMEDIATELY heads to the airport. Comments There's a huge supermarket that remains open until 2am, next to the hotel. Quite convenient for a last minute purchase, be it food or something else. They claim to have a complimentary van service to Santa Monica - I didn't use it. I'd give it an A+ for a 2* property. It's very nice and at an excellent price. While there I did see Air China crew getting checked in. I was informed that the TOWER rooms are indeed much better than the other rooms. I'd highly recommend this property.
  9. Wow - Thanks for the link to the reviews you posted. It really does bring a sense of reality to the great photos on the Hotel's website. Hopefully the room won't be that bad... I'm arriving late night and departing early next day and really only need a bed for a few hours. Will let you know the outcome.
