CivicBlues, what hotel did you win?

We won this hotel in September and we disappointed at first. But as it turned out, we thoroughly enjoyed it and were glad to stay there. Enjoy.

Rates seem to be up quite a bit in Vancouver during this time. We have previously been able to get 4* hotels well under $100, no problem. This time, I spent a couple of months, bidding every night, no luck. I finally gave up and bid $145/night for a 4* and got Pacific Palisades for September 16 & 17. It looks like Westin may have opened up a bit, I saw a few winning bids for Westin today at $140-141 (wish I had waited!).

In checking the hotel sites, rates are up over $200/night. I think you might expect to pay around $140/night.

By the way, I'm still trying to get 2 rooms for 1 night in Victoria for 9/20/07. The best I've done is receiving counteroffers when I bid $140 or above. (sigh)
