  1. Thanks for the info. That is what I found, too. FWIW, I haven't seen this on the other side of Priceline before (and believe me, I've looked.) So, maybe they will start participating in the bidding side soon. And I always try to use you guys when I head over there. Because you are great. :)
  2. I was just out on Priceline doing some research to get ready to bid on a hotel in the Austin or San Antonio area for the weekend of 7/29/11 - 8/1/11 and stumbled on the Hyatt Lost Pines on the regular part of Priceline (not the bidding part.) It was really weird--it didn't show as being in Austin, but as a resort in Buda, which ???? :) Anyway, has anyone out here successfully gotten the Hyatt Lost Pines resort through bidding? Or is this a pretty new entry to Priceline. Thanks, Keenoid
  3. Started bidding at $50, and finally ended at $68 after several rebids adding new areas only. Was trying to get the Hyatt Austin on the lake, but the Omni took my bid first. Oh well... Used the PRICELINE link from here.
  4. Started our bidding at $50 on Sunday night and was trying to get the Renaissance or Westin Domain. Both increased the bids and added all other areas except Downtown (which is the only other area that has 4* hotels) and finally got $85 at the Renaissance this morning. Lowest price I had seen for this hotel anywhere else was $125, so I'm overall happy with the bid, but it was as high as I was going to go. Used the PRICELINE link from here all times.
  5. Hmm...I typed the dates into the topic title, but I just saw that only question marks displayed. Weird. Sorry about that. Is there a way that I can edit the post to fix this? The dates of my stay were 3/11/2011 - 3/13/2011 and I made my bid in the afternoon of 3/11. Thanks so much and sorry for the confusion!
  6. Started out from the PRICELINE link here and my bid of $55 was immediately accepted. I thought I might get the Le Meridian since their regular price was $85. We were very pleased with our stay--upgraded to a much larger room on an excutive level floor for a minimal charge and had breakfast, snacks and drinks in the executive lounge. Service was excellent from everyone we dealt with. Would definitely return. All in all a great stay.
  7. We booked this hotel for 2 adults and 1 child for $69 per night before taxes. I also looked up on the hotel's website and self-parking is $5 per day. Not bad for the Galleria area. The hotel is: Hotel Indigo Houston 5160 Hidalgo Street Houston, Texas 77056 It features the following amenities: Boutique Hotel Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access I started the purchase through betterbidding.com HOTWIRE link, of course. :)
  8. Yep, it was definitely the Hotel Indigo. We booked it this weekend for $69 per night from 8/15 to 8/17. :) Thanks for your help!
  9. Hi. I'm looking for a room in the Houston Galleria area for this weekend (8/15-8/17) and found one on Hotwire for $69 with the following icons: Boutique Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access I thought that it might be the Hotel Derek, but that has always been listed as a 4 star (and still is under the Packages section of Hotwire.) Any ideas what this one might be? Thanks!
