I bid from $55 to winning $80 in $5 increments.
Win, prior unsucessful bid was $77/night.
4 Star Hotel in Orlando - Westin Universal/Convention - I started bidding in small increments at $49. Got it for $61.
(BTW, I also bid up to $76/night for a 4.5 star hotel in Orlando, but was not successful.)
I started bidding at $68, and increased at $2 or $3 increments until $85.
I got two rooms for four nights at $135/night at the Renaissance. I started my bidding on 4 star rooms at $100, targeting hotels only in the District. I increased my bids in $3 - $7 increments. $128 was rejected, but my eleventh bid at $135 was accepted.
Started bidding at $39 at $2 intervals. Successful at $47. I got three rooms at this price.
Thanks. Still no luck with $200+ bid in all 4 zones.
I have bid up to $171 for 4* in USE and USW, with 4 extra free zones. I have not yet bid in SOMA. Should I give it a try? This is not a business trip.
Still no luck!
So far I have made 7 escalating bids on Priceline, starting from USE at $96 to USE, Cathedral Hill, So. SF, Civic Center, Lomard, USW and FW at $140, with all being denied. I'll try again tomorrow. Thanks for the tips.
Max would proably be about $180.
Thanks.
My wife and I are going to SF for the first time and would like to stay in a 4* hotel. I have no preference of USE or USW. Our dates are set, but we have no agenda yet. What do you suggest is the best bidding strategy?
