Just following up to this 2+ year old thread, I did get that second option, and it was the Westin Arlington Gateway. Superb property, great pool, quick Metro into the city. Very pleased. Mon, 08/18/08 - Sat, 08/23/08, $104 per night + taxes/fees.

I'm used to seeing rates in the $50-60 range for Downtown zone. I've rebid in $5 increments up to $80, but still can't seem to get anything. Is it too early to get those low rates? Not sure if waiting is better, or if I should just keep bidding until I get something. Thanks for any help!

It comes up only as a 3* on TripAdvisor. Hotwire isn't always "correct" with their star values, but looks like a good property..enjoy your STAY. :)

This is tough but Dupont Circle - Embassy Row could also be the Hotel Palomar.

I'm trying to find somewhere (reasonably priced) with a pool, preferably indoor. This is harder to find in the city. There is one I completely can't figure out though: 4-star hotel in Dupont Circle - Embassy Row Fitness, Pool, Business, High-Speed Internet This seems to be a match for many in the area, and there's no TripAdvisor info on the "continue" page to give additional hints.

The South one could also be the Hyatt Place CHantilly, since the Hyatt Dulles is directly East of IAD. This was my question too in another thread.

I have 3.5-star hotel in Chantilly - Dulles Intl Airport IAD South Shuttle, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, High Speed, Tennis GUESS: Hyatt Place Chantilly and 4-star hotel in Arlington Non-Smoking, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business, High Speed GUESS: Westin Arlington Gateway (seems to be confirmed on this forum in another thread, but figured I'd ask anyways). I'll probably book one or the other in the coming few days using this site's HOTWIRE link. This site is a great resource, so if I can even provide a small measure of support, I'm happy to.
