  1. Because of allergies, I need to book a Non-Smoking room. There is no option to bid for a Non-Smoking room on Priceline and there are no Non-Smoking hotel booking options for hotels in Manhatten on Hotwire. If I book a room through either of these websites and, by chance, get booked into a Smoking room, is calling the hotel to change it to a Non-Smoking room going to be a problem? Has anyone encountered a situation where the hotel was so rigid on the amenities that were booked that they would not change? Since this is a critical option for me am I better off booking with a hotel directly? Right now I am looking for a 4 Star in Midtown East on Hotwire for $249/night from Oct 09 to Oct 14. The options seem to be the Barclay, the Omni, or the Hyatt. I see a post here that someone recently booked the Barclay, a Non-Smoking hotel, for the same rate from Oct 9 to Oct 13. What are my chances I will get the Barclay if I book my selection on Hotwire?
