My 1st bid for East MEM 3* for $41 was accepted. I haven't stayed there before so all amenities will be from PRICELINE. I made the bid Thur. Jan 14 at 10:00pm for the following Mon-Wed. My first two bids were $35 and $40. Both were rejected. My third bid of $45 was accepted. This is a pretty good deal on this hotel. I was told the Fedex corporate rate was $90. In January I bid two high at $70. First bid of $65 accepted on PRICELINE. I didn't expect to be so cheap. I should have tried lower. I was willing to go for a lower star hotel but got this one. 1st bid on priceline. Maybe I should have started lower. Good price for this hotel. I have stayed there several times with FedEx. Lots of places to eat nearby. Walking distance to a movie theater. Hotel has indoor pool and small limited exercise room. Of course its a doubletree so you always get a cookie. I bid same day so I probably could have gotten it for a bit lower but its the same price I would have paid for the Hollow Point(Holiday Inn Select) by the airport, with a Fedex discount.
