  1. Failed $15 bid/day for an economy car at Toronto airport (Pearson Airport) for 5-day rental from January 5 to January 9. Will try again later, higher price.
  2. I've been trying to book a 4* for this date for many days now, with no luck. My max bid was $106, and was not accepted. I ended up booking a 3* using the following strategy: Initial bid -> 60 *rejected* Add rebid zone 1 -> 65 *rejected* Add rebid zone 2 -> 70 *accepted* Congratulations, your price of $70 was accepted by Crowne Plaza Hotel Niagara Falls. This is for a 1-night stay, from August 27 to 28. PRICELINE link from this thread was used. This is the final booking I'm making for this trip to Ontario, this board has been very helpful to me and I will definitely be returning next time. Thanks again!
  3. 3*, 3 night stay in "North York East", Aug 28-31 Initial bid - $36 (rejected) Add rebid zone 1 - $41 (rejected) Add rebid zone 2 - $46 (rejected) Add rebid zone 3 - $51 (rejected) Add rebid zone 1+2 - $56 (rejected) Add rebid zone 1+3 - $61 (rejected) Add rebid zone 2+3 - $66 (accepted by Novotel North York) "Congratulations, your price of $66 was accepted by Novotel North York." Successful bid using the PRICELINE link from this board. Thanks again! This was the hotel I was hoping for, so now it's officially part of the "North York East" zone.
  4. Tried again, and bumped max bid to $105. Still no luck. Keep on truckin
  5. I tried the above strategy, using the PRICELINE link on this board. No luck. I'm going to drop my star rating to 3*, for the same region, and try bidding again.
  6. Looks like Priceline just remapped the zones this morning. The area I'm looking at is now called "North York East" (Toronto), with 4* available
  7. Hmm...I initially thought max bid of $70...but I'll try max bid of $75 instead
  8. Looking to book from Aug 28-Aug 31 (3 nights) in Toronto (Vaughan-North York), 4* hotel. Trying for a price limit of $70. It looks like I have 8 rebid zones? What's a good starting price? Thanks
  9. No luck, all bid offers rejected. I'll try again another day, and hope for prices to drop.
  10. I'm looking at the Niagara Falls zone in "St. Catharines - Niagara, ON"
  11. I'm looking to book a 4* at Saint Catherines for one night (August 27), looks like I have a few re-bidding zones. Any advice on how to proceed? Thanks. I'm looking to spend $100 or so, if possible.
  12. Aug 23 - Aug 27 1 Room --------- Bid #1 - $55 - 4* - Downtown TO --> rejected Bid #2 - $60 - 4* - Downtown TO, Brampton --> rejected Bid #3 - $65 - 4* - Downtown TO, Don Valley --> rejected Bid #4 - $70 - 4* - Downtown TO, Markham --> accepted! Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, 4 nights for total of $328.64 US Thanks for the help!! That's an amazing price...on to the next leg of the trip, I'll start a new thread. And of course I used the PRICELINE link...it must have helped somehow.
  13. Thanks. FYI, there are two of us traveling, but one bed is fine. For the first leg of my stay, I will be staying in downtown Toronto from August 23 until August 27. I am looking to spend around $100 a night for the room, not sure what star rating that would get me? I'd be willing to shell out a bit more for a higher star hotel.
  14. Hi, just signed up an account on here...spent all night reading about Priceline, I'm very new to this and was hoping for some advice! I'm currently planning a vacation in Ontario, from August 23 to August 31. Flexible itinerary, but I will be booking a rental vehicle as well as hotels (a few nights Downtown Toronto, a few nights Markham/Scarborough, and a night in Kingston). It is worth it to do all this through PRICELINE?
