I noticed a previous post that listed a 3* HOTWIRE win in Eugene. I think that needs to be corrected as I just got the same $53 room at the Shilo Inn in Springfield. It was classified on HOTWIRE as "Springfield/Eugene" and at 2.5*. (I used the Betterbidding HOTWIRE link.) Tried numerous bids under $20 at all levels on PRICELINE, but no luck. Settled for $23/day on Hotwire. Current rate on National's website is $89/day for a Compact. So this rate is $66/day off of the current rate. Pretty sweet deal.

Success! 3* in Downtown Dallas-Turtle Creek IS the Hyatt Summerfield Suites Downtown/Uptown. (Just as an FYI, some websites still have it listed as the Bradford Homesuites - Downtown Dallas.) Here are the details: Hyatt Summerfield Suites Dallas/Uptown 1 room, 2 nights (11/18/08-11/20/08) $79.00 per night x 2 nights: $158.00 Tax recovery charge and fees: $28.99 Total: $186.99 The lowest published rate for this hotel is currently $161/night (using AAA). So I'd say this is a pretty good deal (over 50% off!) By the way, I booked it using the HOTWIRE link from your previous post. We're going to a concert at the AA Arena - which is pretty much across the street from this hotel, so I'm pretty happy with the results. Thanks for the help!

I think I may have figured it out. Let me know if you think this might be it... Hyatt Summerfield Suites Dallas/Uptown (formerly Bradford Suites) Seems to have all of the amenities listed on HOTWIRE and Google says it's 4.6 miles from Love Field (Hotwire says 4.5 miles).

Checked out HOTWIRE, AAA, Kayak, etc. and the lowest I could find was $17/day (HOTWIRE). Bid $12/day on PRICELINE and got it on the first try! Your Offer Price: $12.00 (per day) Total Rental Days: 6 days(5 days and 17 1/2 hours) Subtotal: $72.00 Taxes and Fees: $82.50 Total Charges: $154.50
