Please close this thread. I booked 5 nights at The Comfort Inn on W. 44th for $249.00 a night through Expedia. I also found an online code for $10.00 off per night bringing it to $239.00 a night. This hotel was able to do 2 double bed rooms and also has free breakfast and free wireless internet which both will make my boys happy. I thought there was an Expedia link on this site based on older posts I read but I could not find it to use.

I'm trying to find a room in Times Square area 7/31 for 5 nights with 2 beds..preferably 2 queens. I'm having trouble finding anything other than single bed rooms. Traveling with wife and 2 boys 15 and 11 and have to have 2 beds. Any help is appreciated.

Wow..the reviews for Crowne Plaza on Trip Advisor have some unbelievable awful stories and reviews..No way I am going to risk 4 nights there after reading those

Yes I can confirm it is Embassy Suites. Once I realized it was an Embassy Suites and it was downtown it made my decision easy. I think the the 3.5 in Alex/Old Town was a Sheraton Suites which got a lot of unfavorable reviews on TripAdvisor.. we have stayed at Embassy Suites in the past in Chicago and my boys (13 and 9) loved the free breakfast and the rooms are great for a family. Usually always a bunch of families and kids but that works for us. Thanks again for your help and the informaiton on Betterbidding.com!

Thanks Booked the Embassy Suites in downtown..looked at reviews on TripAdvisor and it's ranked 2 out of 116 .. the free breakfast saves me 20-30 bucks a day as well..booked through your HOTWIRE link.. thanks for your help

I would prefer to in the city of DC but the metro would work. Is Metro safe at night with kids? we could always drive in and park or do cab as well

I'm not familiar with the area at all..right now on hotwire there is a 3.5 star for 85.00 a night in Alex/Old Town and 4 star same area for 135.00 also a 4 star in Arlington for 116.00.. I want 3.5 or higher and want to be close as possible to mall,museums,etc... we like to walk and use trolleys etc.. I don't want to have to drive in daily.. I would like to get under 125 if possible but want to be in a good safe area.

That's a tough call..I certainly don't wont to get stuck with 4 of us in one bed! It does seem like Priceline is much cheaper. any idea if the hotel will work with you once you book on Priceline to make sure you get 2 queen beds? I would probably rather play it safe and go with HOTWIRE
