thanks for the great advice on the 2.5*. I will steer clear for sure. 226 on hotwire is not bad at all. Right now i'm going to use your PRICELINE link to book chelsea or esb
went to $215 in the following areas: CPS Madison Square Garden Midtown East Midtown West Times Square - Theatre District Upper East Side Upper West Side I don't want to go much higher, and splitting is not an option. would you suggest dropping to 2.5?
Hey thereuare, Here are the firm plans: Aug 6 to 11 (added a day!) 3* (or 3.5* - but i'm not sure how you bid on that) CPS (ideal), MTE, or MTW And for price, i'd like to start as low as possible. is $130-140 realistic?
First off, ya'll are amazing. I havent' successfully bid yet, but i'm close. I have a question about 3* in CPS, MTE, and MTE, what is a reasonable bidding price?
ok, i get it: the following don't have 4 stars: Brooklyn, Chelsea Long Island City Details Madison Square Garden - Upper East Side Details Upper West Side Details. So i'm to assume that they are rebid zone 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, right?>
i have read the link to rebidding explained, i understand the concept, but i'm not getting the zones. sorry if i'm stupid! Here's what i did: 4* MTE, MTW, CPS $140, August 6-11. Rejected. How do i rebid for $150?
OK i've tried, but there's one part i don't understand: NOTE: 're-bid zone1' is not the same as priceline's Zone1, 're-bid zone2' is not the same as priceline's Zone2, etc, etc) My Bid was for CPS, MTE, and MTW. What is rebid zone 1? Brooklyn? Brooklyn Details Central Park South Details Chelsea Area Details Downtown - SoHo - Financial District Details Empire State Building Area Details Long Island City Details Madison Square Garden - Convention Area Details Midtown East Details Midtown West Details Times Square - Theatre District Details Upper East Side Details Upper West Side Details Select All Zones
Hi, I need a little bidding help. I'm planning on going to NYC August 6 - 10, and I need a bid strategy. I'd like to stay at a 4* in CPS, but would also accept MTE, MTW. Splitting rooms is not an option, and I wouldn't like to spend more than $210. What's a good strategy to bid?
I did the name your price search for a 4* in Central Park South, but i didn't enter my credit card. i get it now, i made a tiny error and have yet to actually "bid" on my room. Ok, so time to start over (like i said, first timer here) Is $160 too cheap?
I'll be travelling with my girlfriend, so I can't imagine her agreeing to change hotels halfway. I just did a search on Price line for Central Park and found a 4* for $160 a night. That sounds like a real bargain! What do you think?
Hey thanks for the great feedback. I'm not sure i would like to go higher than $220 for my stay. I've never used priceline, and it would be my preference to use hotwire (I have a little bit of credit with them)
Is it worth it to book a 3.5* in Midtown South for early August? Hotwire quoted me at $199. Any ideas what hotel i'd be at? I'm Canadian, and have never been to NYC before.
