  1. In April, my brother and I stayed at the Paramount through Priceline. And we had two seperate beds! In fact I was even surprised at how spacious this "Priceline room" was...
  2. Started at $90 for 2.5* MTW Raised to $95 and added 2* Raised to $100 and added UM-CPS Raised to $105 and added MTE Raised to $110 and added 1* (I like taking risks :)) $110 was accepted for a 2* MTW hotel: the Milford Plaza I have stayed in several nice and luxurious NYC hotels before but this trip really had to be a budget minded. So I'm glad with the Milford! Seems like a solid family hotel.
  3. Thanks a bunch for your advice... But alas, there were no hotels available for $105 or less. I raised the amount and even bidded $115 for a 2.5* in MTW as I was hoping to get the Belvedere. Tonight I tried again and fortunately this time around my bid was accepted. I ended up getting: 3* NYC (MTW) Paramount Hotel $120 ... 4/7 - 4/11 Your Offer Price: $120.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 4 Subtotal: $480.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $89.05 Total Charges: $569.05 YAY!
  4. Hello there Just requesting some bidding assistance for a NYC trip from April 7 until April 11. I'd like a 3* or 4* in MTW, UM-CPS or (rather not, but still ok) MTE. My brother and I are on a student budget so we're looking to spend no more than 110$ per night. Thanks a bunch for any help you can offer! Chagnee
  5. Hi there Here's the address: Downtown Columbus 50 North Third Street Columbus, Ohio 43215
  6. I was actually bidding for a 3*. I bid $110, but that wasn't accepted. I decided to take a little risk by bidding $130. To my delight it was accepted AND I got the upgrade to a 4*. 3 nights stay: 8/13 until 8/16 Price per night: $130 Total: $465.85
  7. I first bid about $80 for a 4*, but no result... My first bid for a 3* was accepted. Two nights stay: 8/9 until 8/11 Price per night: $50 Total: $125
  8. When I read the comments on Tripadvisor.com, I also got a little scared. But on TOBB, nearly everyone has a lot of positive things to say about this hotel. We'll see... I'll be sure to post a review here!
  9. Staying in NYC from 9/4 until 9/10. After loads of rejected bids, I decided to split it up. A lot of hotels are fully booked for these dates. $125 might seen quite a lot for a 2.5* but I have stayed at the Belvedere before and think it really is a hidden gem in the big city. I'm happy.
  10. Staying in NYC from 9/4 until 9/10. After loads of rejected bids, I decided to split it up. A lot of hotels are fully booked for these dates. Although it's not a huge bargain, I'm glad that I got this hotel. And hey, for my 6 nights stay, I'm saving over $400. Can't complain, can I? :-)
  11. Thanks very much! I was able to bid for the 4* hotels. No luck. As soon as I started bidding for the 3* hotels, I constantly got a message saying I have to wait 72h. No problem, I still have plenty of time. I will definitely post my results here. Thanks!
  12. Oops... accidentally sent a report instead of a reply. Sorry! :) Anyhow, I understand that $110 is probably too low. Let's change it to $130 then. As to the zones, I'm interested in the following: 1) MTW: anything from 2.5* to 4* 2) MTE: anything from 2.5* to 4* 3) UM-CPS: only 4* I really prefer MTW though, since I will be seeing several shows. Thanks so much in advance! I really appreciate your help.
  13. Hi there I'm looking for a 3* or 4* hotel in MTW for 9/4 until 9/10. Yesterday, I placed a $105 bid for the 4*, which was rejected. With my free re-bid, I raised it to $110, but that was rejected as well. Then I added 3* and bid $95. Rejected again. I prefer not too pay more than $110 per night, excluding taxes and service fees. Would that be realistic? Any help would be very very very much appreciated! Thanks so much!
  14. Yes, it still shows up when I check for my dates. It's currently at $80 though, but still the same amenities. Thanks very much for the list of possible hotels!!
  15. Does anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance!
