  1. Will keep that in mind for the future, thanks for merging the threads.
  2. So, after trying to shoot a hotel in Orange Country I ended up in Ontario, which is just as convinient for me as I will be arriving from Palm Springs and going further south to San Diego. I tried 3.5* in all four Inland Empire zones with bids of up to 47$, no success. Then tried 40$ for a 3* in Ontario only, success. Hotel Indigo Ontario Rancho Cucamonga (I love that name :)) Oct 3 - Oct 4 2009 1 night Winning bid $40.00 total price $52.07 Pretty happy with the result, seems like a very nice hotel. Much better than the (suspected) Fairfield Inn Placentia on hotwire I asked about earlier ^^ I used the PRICELINE link when I started bidding on priceline today, I don't know if PRICELINE can 'remember' that for longer than one hour though ;-)
  3. I ended up shooting a 3* in Ontario, CA on priceline for 40$; I will post that right away. Thanks for your help.
  4. I figured it might be the Fairfield Inn Placentia after some more 'research'.
  5. Hi, any ideas which property this may be? 3* in Orange County (Fullerton - Brea Area) w/ following ametities: non-smoking breakfast fitness pool laundry business hi-speed internet tripadvisor: 3.5/5 based on 20+ reviews The dates I checked are Oct 3 to Oct 4; 1 night stay; price is 48$ plus tax. Thanks!
  6. Hi, I booked a trip to Ft Lauderdale for the following dates: 3/14/09 - 3/15/09. I got the Sheraton Suites Plantation going for a 3.5* in Weston-Plantation-Davie, amentities: Pool Fitness Hi-speed Internet Restaurant Also the customer favorite icon showed and a 4.0/5 tripadvisor rating was provided (20+ reviews). So I was sure to get the Sheraton. Regards And yeah, HOTWIRE link of course :-D
  7. Taking into consideration that the room accommodates three people I don't think that 73$ are a lot ;-) For this year's NFL International Series in London I got a 4* Hilton in Islington for 99$ per night, accommodating only two people and not including breakfast. So, if you divide the price by three, convert the Dollars into Euros (my "home" currency) it is actually pretty cheap, even cheaper than a hostel. 25
  8. Hi all, I just "shot" the hotel for our NFL International Series trip in October 09. 2.5* London (Ealing - Hammersmith - Brentford) 10/24/09 - 10/26/09; 2 nights; 1 room, 3 guests 73$ per night, 181.94$ total Amentities: Breakfast, Restaurant, Business, Hi-speed Internet Tripadvisor Rating of 4.0/5 based on 40+ reviews. Got the Holiday Inn Express Park Royal, just as I thought. Perfect price for three youths on a budget ;-) I used the Betterbidding HOTWIRE Link.
  9. After I got 65%, 63%, 63% and 62% off the 40% off I got this time sounds pretty low ;-) I am not complaining though, it is indeed a very good deal :)
  10. I ended up booking the 2.5* hotel in Disney Main Gate - Celebration Area 39$ non-smoking fitness pool restaurant business laundry hi-speed internet hotwire also provided that the hotel has a 4/5 rating and 420+ reviews at tripadvisor. It is indeed the Best Western Lakeside Hotel. Total Price: 182$, savings of 120$. Not too much, but after I've gotten so lucky with my other hotel rates recently I have to say the price is very good. And thanks to the strong Euro the whole vacation is rather cheap anyway ;-) Thanks for your help. I started my booking thru the forums HOTWIRE link :-)
  11. Hi board, I am currently looking for the fourth and last hotel for my Florida vacation. I checked hotwire and found the following two offers for 03/11/09 - 03/15/09: 2.5* hotel in Disney Main Gate - Celebration Area 39$ non-smoking fitness pool restaurant business laundry hi-speed internet My best guess would be the Best Western Lakeside, but since I am relatively new to hotwire I am still a little unsure... 2.5* hotel in Lake Buena Vista - Downtown Disney 42$ Customer Favorite PLUS they say it has a 3.5/5 rating at tripadvisor comp breakfast fitness pool business laundry hi-speed internet My best guess for this one would be the Extended Stay Deluxe LBV, I am not sure though. What do you guys on the board think? Should the second one be the Extended Stay I would go for it as soon as the price sinks to 39$ again, which it has done every now and then in the last couple of days. Thanks and cheers
  12. Hi, I started with bids for 4* hotels of 70$ and increased step by step, each time adding zones. Then I added 3*, increased from 87$ to 90$ and got the 4* Hyatt Regency Bonaventure. I was like wow, cool :) I would have expected a 3* rather than a 4* :) Total price for three nights is 312$. Price on the hotel website is 818$, quite nice rate I got there, esp. for high season. 3/15/09 - 3/18/09: 90$ bid accepted. I used the forums PRICELINE link to begin my purchase. Regards
  13. Hey, I could use some help IDing a Ft. Lauderdale hotel. It is a 2.5* in North Ft. Lauderdale for 85$ a night and has the following amentities: Complimentary Breakfast Pool(s) Business Center Hi-speed Internet Fitness Restaurant Laundry Golf nearby I couldn't find a possible match so far in the list... Might be a Courtyard by Marriott though, I checked their hotel websites and they have two Courtyard hotels in Ft. Lauderdale. Any suggestions? Cheers :-)
  14. Needed a nice hotel at a reasonable price for the NFL International Series at London Wembley :) HOTWIRE offered a 99$ 4* in London City - Financial Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Paid 205$ total for two nights, got the Hilton Islington. Very decent, esp. if you consider that a hostel in the city center costs almost as much :)
  15. After I tried priceline with bids of up to 105$ and checked multiple hotel websites I saw this one on hotwire. 3.5* Fort Myers Intl Airport with Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access I thought it was either the Springhill Suites by Marriott or the Crowne Plaza. Got the Crowne Plaza at Bell Tower Shops, GREAT location. Total: 122$. By the way, the hotel is not in the Florida Hotel List yet. Regards
  16. Hi, I found a 65$ offer for a 3* Hotel in Busch Gardens, hotwire stated the following: Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access tripadvisor rating of 4.5/5, 80+ reviews, last review June 2008 So i checked tripadvisor for all 3* hotels in the Busch Gardens area and figured that the Hyatt Place must be the one. I was right :-D Got the Hyatt Place Busch Gardens for 513$ total, price on hotel site: 1450$. Niiiice. Free wireless, free fitness center, 42" flatscreen TV; what more do you want. Cheers
