  1. Hubby and I decided to head to Vegas a day earlier than planned, but aren't getting there until 10 p.m. and didn't want to pay a lot of money for a hotel we will likely only be napping in for a few hours until we can check into the original hotel on Sunday. So I decided to do HOTWIRE's $36 downtown hotel, and it was The Plaza. I haven't heard good things, but like I said, I won't be spending a lot of time there. Here are the amenities: 2.5 Stars Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) I did use the HOTWIRE link here.
  2. It's OK, I am just glad to have the hotels booked and paid for.
  3. I just paid for the Golden Nugget at $53 a night April 11th. It's the only 4* Downtown, but here are the Amenities anyway: This hotel features the following amenities: Resort Casino Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Spa Services We are staying at Trump the following two days, I am excited to be staying downtown and on the strip on this trip, I've never done that before.
  4. I bid $75 on the first bid for a 5 star expecting a counter-offer but it was accepted and it is the Trump. I have a post on the HOTWIRE side, but wanted to post the win here since I did end up using PRICELINE.
  5. I'm just closing this thread. I almost made the described purchase on HOTWIRE this morning, but thought I would give PRICELINE a try first. (I used the links here) I have never used either service before. I will post my win in the priceline section too, but I asked for a 5* only and bid $75 expecting a counter-offer, but it was accepted and it is the Trump. That's fine with me, my husband really wanted a 5 star in the center of the strip area, and for the price it's great. I'm thinking I should have bid a little lower now though, it was accepted so fast maybe I could have gotten it cheaper. Live and learn. I am going back to Vegas in June, and will be trying a different hotel, so I'll be checking out this board quite a bit.
  6. Yes there was, I must have deleted it when I removed the description of the amenities. I tried to figure it out myself and it matches the Vdarra- I think that's what it's called but I don't know. No casino.
  7. Help for which hotel this is, it sounds like a great deal at $89 a night. 5 Star Hotel: Amenities: Spa Services Studio Condominium Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center High-speed Internet Access Kitchenette Condo Thanks!
