  1. I think I will spend 2 other nights near Cape Canaveral, but contrary to FLL I don't know this area at all. I have seen on Hotwire 1 hotel in Melbourne, from March 5 to 7, at $42/night, 2.5*, one 2* in Kennedy Space Center at $57, another one at 59, and a 2.5* at 65 in Kennedy too. Actually there are a lot, and since I don't know the area it is more difficult. They are not all rated on Trip Advisor, they have about the same amenities, with Breakfast included. Could you give me some hints, please? Thanks a lot again
  2. I really appreciate the help I have found here, it is.... priceless :) On the list, I have found la Quinta that could match, but it seems it is not updated, I guess the hotels change often. Thanks
  3. Okay, we are not sure, but I have read... all I could, they don't seem that bad. Both are in the condos too. The others are much more expensive or in Miami or Hollywood, which are not where I want to go. Priceline is much more expensive. Where is the bottom you think I could set my price? And to get what? Would I know the name of the hotel before booking? I am not sure about Priceline, never booked a hotel with them Thanks
  4. Yes. it comes with YOUR hotwire, Weston-Plantation-Davie and it is 2 1/2* Hotel details Location: Weston - Plantation - Davie Star rating: silkHotelStarRating:2.5-star Check-in date: silkCheckInDate:Tue, Mar 3 Check-out date: silkCheckOutnDate:Thu, Mar 5 Price summary Hotel rate per night: silkPricePerRoomPerson:$42.00 Nights: silknoOfNights:2 Rooms: silknoOfRooms:1 Subtotal: silksubTotal:$84.00 Tax recovery charges & fees: silktaxesAndFees:$15.03 Total price: silkgetTotalPriceWithAddOns:$99.03 Prices are in U.S. dollars. There is another one (2 1/2* too) at $37, but it seems lower class, in North FLL (sorry, maybe I confused you). The location would be okay also. You say I can get condos also? I might be very interested, not this time, but I have to consider a long trip, a month or more, and would like to rent a condo.. Can you tell me where to look in your site? This hotel is more urgent. Thank you very much
  5. Hmmm... my session has expired, but I think March 3 and 4, after I would like to go to other places
  6. Hi, I just booked a flight to FLL from March 3 to March 9. I want to travel around Florida from FLL and north. I have to spend at least 2 days in FLL and I just saw a hotel in North FLL at $42, with breakfast included, pool ( :) :) ) internet access (free?), and kitchenette. The area interests me, but I would like to know which one it can be, if it is NOT too noisy, and if there is a parking facility around for free. I also need to book a car, I am starting with the hotel, not sure which way is better. All information will be gratefully appreciated. Thank you
  7. oh, sorry, I meant not welcoming. As I said, I would like a warm atmosphere. I don't want to change my destination, and after reading a lot, I thought the Breezes could be good for me... or Riu, although at the beginning I was not considering AI On PRICELINE, can I make a very low bid on this hotel? Thank you again
  8. Ha! It seems it is not exactly my best choice, then. A bit cold for a single mature traveller... And everything is abusively expensive apart from the room. Now it is at 162!!! Even if it not not as expensive as others, I would prefer to be in a warm atmosphere. I would prefer maybe- because I know none of them- the Riu Paradise or the Breeze. On Trip Advisor they are very expensive... Can you give me an advise for my best choice please? It is Xmas... Thanls a lot

  10. Hello, I am trying to book a package for Xmas. Unfortunately, since I don't live in the US I can't use either HOTWIRE or PRICELINE. So I can book the air and hotel separately. I saw a 3.5* hotel, there is no location at all, but they say R as in Resort. Can you tell me if it can be the Breezes? Or what else? I have read a lot of thing about it, it is not exactly what I would like, but it seems my best option, since I will travel alone. Thansk a lot for your opinion I forgot to say it is at $169
  11. I tried 11 then 12 then 13 :) There is an ad on the Priceline site saying "rent a Chevrolet for $12" :) I GOT one last year for $10!!! The rent checker shows rates much more expensive. It is not accepted, so I am going to try to rent it at Aventura Mall, for 2 days only, I will go shopping when I return it. At the airport I would take it tomorrow when I arrive, there is a tri-rail from Fort Lauderdale.
  12. I tried and get "Unfortunately, our Name Your Own Price service was unable to locate an available rental car for the area and dates you selected. However, we have found a broad selection of rental car options below." Yes, they are 5 times more expensive!!! :) I guess it is because my price was not acceptted, but I already gave my credit card.... What do I do??
  13. I am about to rent a car and try to make a bid with PRICELINE. But when I ask Miami, they only offer the airport. I will be on the Beach (Indian Creek), to go to the airport to pick up and return the car would make me lose so much time and money that it is not worth it. Is there a way to ask another location? The prices on Hotwire are abusively high in my opinion, and I don't know if I can choose my location. I have found other companies that seem cheaper and more convenient. What would you suggest (it is for the 17), apart take the bus? :) Thanks
  14. :) WON!!! It is the Sixty Sixty. I booked it, and I received the confirmation email. Hopefully the constructions won't be too noisy. Unfortunately, for the reasons you know, I couldn't do it through Betterbidding, but I will rent a car with Priceline with you. And as soon as I have everything organized, I will follow your advice to solve the problem. However, I have seen that other posters have had the same one. But I sweated, they say a debit card cannot be accepted, that's what I have. So FOR NEXT TIME, can you tell me how to turn around this issue? I already had the same for a car rental, it worked out , but maybe some day it won't. So I would like to know before. Thanks a lot.
  15. They are all there: Near Beach Property is located within easy walking distance of a beach. Fitness Center Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply. Pool(s) Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal. High-speed Internet Access Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply. Kitchenette Accommodations include a stovetop or microwave oven, a sink and a mini-refrigerator. It also says there is a 3* TA reviews I was about to book (through Bookit) at the Marco Polo Beach Resort, I have seen very bad reviews, but for this one also. What do you think? Thanks
  16. Hello, I had no time yet to lean on this problem. I have too many windows open (checking on everything I have to do in Florida), I can't reboot and reboot. Will do it when things calm dowm, I am sorry. I just see a 3* on Miami Beach with kitchenette, at 72 on HOTWIRE. Is it the Sixty Sixty again -cheaper? Or what else? Thanks :)
  17. URGENT :) the HOTWIRE link doesn't work. I need to book very urgently. What happens? Thanks for helping.
  18. It is a 3* in Miami Beach for $79: Hotel Amenities Near Beach Fitness Center Pool(s) High-speed Internet Access Kitchenette That's what they say.... nothing about parking, HOPEFULLY not a resort
  19. Hello, Thanks for the info. I willl need to go to the hospital and shopping, but that will take me one day, maybe two if I go to Sawgrass. I feel I want to MAKE time for the beach or at least to wander around. I chatted this morning with a girl at Miamibeach411, she recommended me the howard johnson Dezerland Beach & Spa, but I have read bad reviews. So who knows.... Reviews depends on the expectations of each one. I have a better idea about Miami thoough, and I think I am going to go with HOTWIRE, I have seen one with kitchen at $79 for 3*. My budget was <100, but it depends on what is included (if I have to pay $30 for a parking, it is not the same price). Of course I will use your link.
  20. Hello, ... and it is my very first post here, I am not sure I am in the right forum, but I need help. I don't know if it is important, I don't live in the US. I never used Priceline or Hotwire before for a hotel. Only Priceline once for a car and it has been a very good experience, and Hotwire for a trip and... hmmm.... probably I didn't know what to do, I got the same price as with another site, and awful flight departure and arrival times. This time, I want to go to Miami (need to), that I don't know at all. The hotels' prices are so abusive that I thought about a bid. But I am afraid.... I want to be in a alive area since I am alone, but certainly not in a 24h-party scene. I would like some action during the day but quietness at night. I have been told Coral Gables, but all the sites say "Coconut Grove" and it seems it is a very hot -and unsecure- area. I also want a fridge and a microwave in my room, I can't consider going to the restaurant or bars all the time. I don't need the beach, since I won't have time to go, but a swimming pool would be welcome. I will rent a car (third step, the first one was the flight), so a free parking lot is a requisit (unless there is a free one around). Anyone can give me an idea about how to proceed? Is there a difference and in what between Priceline and Hotwire? I will be very grateful for all advice. Thank you very much for keeping this site running. PS I will be there July 16-21, so it is kind of urgent, I have many other things to plan.
