  1. Restaurant(s) Pool(s) Fitness Center High-speed Internet Access Business Center -hope that helps!
  2. For 2 rooms all I got offered was $119 for a 3.5* Downtown Phoenix. It's the Wyndham Phoenix. All in all not too bad. Thanks for the extra help. :)
  3. Went up to 130 on resort and 121 on 4-star. Didn't get it. Going to try again a little later. -Noah
  4. Good idea- area is not super important more price and quality. I'll give it a shot. -Noah
  5. Yep good guess or maybe Pointe at Squaw Peak- either of which would totally rock but not if we had to split our group into two hotels. Would it be more likely they only give one room at a time to Hotwire or that they have only one room in total? This has come up for me consistently since Friday 12/16.
  6. I can get a 3-star for 60 or 85- both in Central Phoenix Inner. But not the four star for $98 I get when searching for one room. Argh- Catch-22.
  7. Done- we ended up doing a direct reservation through the Venetian for that Vegas trip. This new one is for 2 rooms and a 2-night stay in Phoenix 12/31/05-1/02/06. -Noah
  8. Ended up getting the rooms direct through the Venetian reservations system.
  9. I'm looking to get a couple of rooms in Phoenix for New Years via Hotwire. When I ask for one room I get offered a nice 4-star hotel for $90. When I ask for two rooms it doesn't appear. If I try to buy the two rooms one at a time will I get hosed?
  10. Wow- that's a sweet deal at the Venetian! Do you ever see something like that for Aladdin?
  11. So one thing I'm hearing is that it's better to wait until the trip gets a little closer in order to get the best deals. Our plans are to go to LV in about 4 weeks. What's the best time to strike?
  12. Oh my bad- I thought that was this forum. You mean I should make a specific thread about that bid- right?
  13. I won an Airport Hilton in Burbank last October. The initial room they gave me was really dinky and they noted I was a Priceline reservation as I checked in with a bit of a smirk(or maybe I'm just a bit sensitive). I paid $75/night- published rate was $150 or so. I managed to talk my way into a better room by requesting a room with High Speed Internet. Turns out they only have it in the nice HiltonHonors tower of the hotel. In the end it worked out fine but it would be nice to just check in without that feeling. As for Vegas, I've not yet made a bid. Was thinking of shooting for The Venetian or The Alladin(though I am not sure if the latter is on Priceline's list). The weekend we want to go is 7/23-7/25. Thanks!
  14. Hi there- Great board- forgive me if this is not a new issue to ask but here goes. It seems like whenever I show up at a hotel with a Priceline reservation they put me into the worst room they have. I'm going to Vegas next month and I'd like to avoid this. I've seen talk on the board about $20 tricks and upgrades. How does that work? Thanks!
