My goal is the best level of hotel I can get for $170 within either USE or Soma. 4* would be great, but don't know if that's available for $175.
Thanks
What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?
About $150 - 175.
Otherwise it seems to make sense to take a PRICELINE EXPRESS for a 3.5 stars in Embaracadero for 138$ night, or Union Square West - Nob Hill for $161. As there is a coupon for 10 percent discount. suggestions welcome. Basically want to stay nearish market street and not in a sketchy area.
Started with
Union Square E 4* $120
Civic 125
Japan 130
Marina 135
Richmond 140
South San Fran 145
Soma 150
Added 3.5* 155
No dice
Suggestions?
Goal is 3.5 or 4* in either Union square East or Soma
I was hoping to get something for $175 or less.
Not having much luck on getting a 4*.
started with USW at 110
added USE at 120
Added Richmond 130
Added SFO N 140
Added Japan 150
Added Fishermans at 165
Added South SF at 175
No luck
Suggestions? Help appreciated.
This reservation was made from your PRICELINE link
Started with 80$ and 4* Faneuil Hall. Added South Boston, N Cambridge, Feinway, Medford -- incrementally adding 5$ each time
you must be right about the two night minimum. have bid up to 105$ and not gotten a bite. The hotwire has a mix of hotels at the 2* level, some good and some that are not exciting. think i might just do the buy on the norma lhotel websites. thanks
Tried 2.5* at 80
Added 2 * at 83
2* Hotels range there from 119$ per night on up.
Suggestions welcome.
Thanks - Lisa

Bidding 85$ for 4* USE for 7/18-720, got Westin SanFran Market Street. And will do something else for thursday night.
thanks for all of your help :)

Tried the same strategy today and added boutique hotels - got up to 105$, but still no luck. I think i will try this for a few more days. And then find a different strategy or less stars. :)
I would like to try bidding with the max of 140 for either USE or USW. I think i come out with a better hotel for the $$. Thanks for the help. :)
My tops is $140/night. If i am totally off track for the 4* at this price, I will start aiming at the 3*s and see what i can do.
My first choice is USE and then USW. I would rather not stay at the wharf.
All suggestions appreciated.
I believe that the current set of non 4* are cathedral, civic, lombard and south. :)
Have added cathedral hill, lombard street, south san fran and up to 125$. No deal
Rack rates for the Westin Market Street 259 or the Westin St Francis 289$
I am confused by the rebid faq. one tries to determine where there are no hotels of a certain star variety and then adds that section. is that correct? For example, i don't see any 4* hotels in Area 1. so that could be added and then get a rebid?
SanFran 4* or 3.5 4/4 to 4/7 Help please
