Booked two rooms at this great rate for Sunday night, May 1! Tried to get a 4-star for $40, and when that was (naturally) rejected, lowered my standards to a 3-star and upped the bid by $10--voila! Hope this helps!

Bid $40 for a 3* hotel for the Fourth of July (one night), looking only in the "downtown" area, and was rejected. Re-bid, adding the "Vet Stadium" zone (which has no 3* properties) and raising bid to $50--bingo! Got the Philadephia Doubletree Hotel, which is conveniently located on Broad and Locust, and is also a member of the Hilton family of hotels.
