  2. A 3* is fine, in fact the Residence looks great. Always love free parking and breakfast too. What would be my best strategy for a bidding?
  3. We will need a room from 8/1 -8/3 in the Manhattan Beach/Redondo area. Can you provide me a bidding strategy? Then from 8/3 to 8/5 we will be heading to Disneyland and need a strategy for that timeline as well. Thanks!
  4. Bid 3.5 * Downtown at $55 and won the Marriott. Thanks for the help! This will be perfect. Now...we will need a room from 8/1 -8/3 in the Manhattan Beach/Redondo area. Can you provide me a bidding strategy? Then from 8/3 to 8/5 we will be heading to Disneyland and need a strategy for that timeline as well. Thanks Again.
  5. Decided to try for a 4* Downtown LA for part of our stay, 7/30-8/1 with the option of adding through 8/2. Started bidding at $45 Downtown Added Santa Monica/Marina Del Rey rebid $51 Added Redondo/Manhattan rebid $58 All denied. Started getting a little confused on my strategy. Could you help? I'm wondering if I would have better luck aiming for a 3.5 Star in Redondo/Manhattan area. Thanks.
  6. I'm wondering if the 4* Beverly Hills- West Hollywood is Le Parc Suites. Not sure if that is a hotel that comes up on Hotwire much or not. I have stayed there in the past I love it! What do you think? I looked it up on the hotel list, but had fewer amenities listed than the current list on Hotwire. Thanks for the help.
  7. Dpne. Sorry I didn't update my previous posts as I was not successful. Will do so in the future either way. Thanks.
  8. Second attempt at NYC on PRICELINE. Kept rebidding using my free zones up to 125 to no avail for a 4 Star. Ended up staying with friend in Brooklyn.
  9. Time ran out and unable to get a winning bid on Priceline. :)
  10. Can you help me identify this hotel on hotwire: 4* Beverly Hills-West Hollywood 7/30-8/2 $118 a night Amenities listed- Suite Fitness Center Pool Restaurant Laundry High Speed Internet Kitchenette Thanks!
  11. We are traveling to the X-Games in Los Angeles. Ideally arriving in Los Angeles on 7/30th. We need fairly easy access to the Staples Center and Home Depot Center. Looking to get a room around $60 an night. Would love some assistance. On the 2nd, we are going to make our way to the Disneyland area and would love a strategy to score a great deal. We will be checking out on the 5th. Overall, looking for the best deal. Willing to bid on 3.5 to 4 star hotels. Thanks for the help!
  12. Need a bidding strategy for a 4* in TS, MTE, MTW, CPS, UWS. Help, I'm starting to get worried as we leave in six days. Max bid 125. thanks.
  13. I'd like to try up to my limit on a 4* first then add 3.5*.
  14. Okay... Best 4*- TS, MTE, MTW, CPS, UWS 3.5*- TS, CPS, MTW Thanks for all your help.
  15. I hadn't really thought that out thoroughly in regards to the whole region that a Soho bid could bring about. Ultimately, the best deal is key. We are pretty open about location. I would prefer being around Times Square than directly in it. Not necessarily in the financial district. A three or four star with max bid to start of 125. Any help would be great. Thanks.
  16. We will be traveling 6/16 through 6/22 and are trying to figure out our best bet in regard to a hotel. Although we will visit Time Square both my husband and I prefer a neighborhood feel. Stayed in LES last year with a friend. I'm wondering about any of the Thompson hotels and any feedback some might have. Do these ever come up on Priceline or Hotwire? Any thoughts on the Soho/Tribeca area? Thanks for your help. As far as price, I'd love to be be under 125.00.
  17. As it turns out, we have a third friend joining us at the last minute. This is a little problem as the quotes/price are usually only double occupancy. I'm wondering how much of an issue this will be in New York? Is it even possible to do or with the hotel be likely to "notice" our third person. As far as splitting the bid, I've been considering however once we arrive in NY, I'd prefer to check-in once. On priceline, when I'm rebidding, what would be considered Gramercy? At this point, we are reconsidering trying to book a vacation rental as it's becoming a little time consuming. Any suggestions there would be helpful as well. Thanks.
  18. So, no 4* within MTE, MTW, or TS at 170.
  19. I am going to add MTE and MTW to the bidding process and go for 170. It appears this might be an expensive time to travel to NYC. I have never been so want the city experience however my friends have been several times and were hoping for something in Chelsea however the hotels in that area for the most part did not have very favorable reviews.
  20. We arrive late on June 25th and depart NYC on July 1st. We are hoping to stay in TS at a 4*. I have been unsuccessful at this point on priceline with my latest bid of 165 rejected. I have been using the rebidding strategy but have not yet managed to reserve a hotel. I'm wondering if I should at this point, go down to a 3* as our departure date is getting close?
