We decided to book the Holiday Inn at Seaside direct. (of course used the support page links at betterbidding.com). It was just passing thru (making a 18 day road trip)

We decided to go for the Hotwire (Holiday Inn Express), but Hotwire charges $35,- (taxes and recovery fee) making it even expensier than booking direct by Holiday Inn. This was over our budget. We are now thinking of taking the Holiday Inn Express in Marina (using your link) and cancelling the Super 8 (is has very bad reviews ..) Do you think there is change of getting a good hotel for a good price in the monterey area around labour day. (I already checked some the major hotel sites and several hotels in the area have NO Vacancy anymore..)

Just found a 3* hotel ($133,-) date 9/5 - 9/6 With the following (in this order): Complimentary Breakfast ,Fitness Center ,Pool(s) ,Business Center,Laundry Facilities, High-speed Internet Access I think its this one : 3* Holiday Inn Express at Monterey Bay (Seaside) Amenities: Complimentary Breakfast, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry Look at the HolidayInn site and the seaside hotel costs $150,- (advanced purchase).

I am looking for a hotel in in the Monterey Area (date : 9/5 -9/6 .. Labour day weekend). What will be the best bidding strategy to get a 2.5* (and up). The budget is $125.10 (excl. tax).. That is what I am now paying for the Baymont Inn (Super 8), already booked this hotel so when priceline fails we can sleep :) If we get a priceline hotel we cancel this reservation. I know it will be hard to get a hotel through priceline (labour day weekend).. Even a Motel6 is $125,- per night ... :)

Thought the same, I already have a reservation at the HIE ($152,- with cancellation policy). The best rate currently at the HIE is $144,- (Advanced Purchase), so $133,- is a good rate. Will also try to do a Priceline bid, thinking of $120. Is this a good bid ??.

Won the following hotel Marriott Anaheim Suites Disneyland Area 12015 Harbor Boulevard Anaheim, California 92840 714-750-1000 Date : 23/9/2009 - 24/9/2009 Price : $47,- (Rack rate : $139) Of course used the PRICELINE link :) :) Now going to book the next 8 hotels (trip 23/9 - 10/10 California / Nevada / Arizona / Utah). Will post my wins here.

In 2005 we stayed in Tusayan (Early April) and we got a rate of $110,- (Room : Mini-Suite). This rate was offered at the counter. With only 5 Hotels in Tusayan, it will be hard to get a room through priceline in high season.

In Tusayan there is no Holiday-Inn only a Holiday-Inn express, which serves complimenty breakfast. But most of the best-westerns offers a complimentary breakfast. Also the Best-Western has a restaurant. (The Holliday-Inn Express doesn't has this). Based on this info i think its the BW in Tusayan.

Date : 16/05 - 17/05 Adress : Key West Inn - Key Largo 201 Ocean Drive Key Largo, FL 33037 305-451-5081 Suite like hotel, two floors (1st. Living room + Kitchen + Balkon + Bathroom) (2nd. Bathroom + Masterbedroom) Its clean, but must be renovated (its seems like there in the progress of doing that, its wash just painted). Includes Pool (no Towel service), Free Internet + Free parking. Its overlooks the Key Largo Marinna.

I decidded not to use PRICELINE. We ended up at the Hilton Vaction club (a non casino hotel).

3* Residence Inn Naples $50,- 09/05 - 10/05 Free parking / Free Internet / Free Breakfast. (long stay hotel, includes full kitchen).

Hilton St. Petersburg Date : 10/05 - 11/0 Got parking and internet free, altough it was nog listed as free of charge.

Hilton Melbourne Beach Oceanfront (3* hotel) Date : 15/05 - 16/05 Parking and internet free.

Won Crowne Plaza Hollywood Beach Resort Hotel (4 Star). Bid $55,- on 3 Star. Bid accepted by 4 star. Date : 19/5 - 21/05 Parking : $14,- per night (self parking)

Hi, I found the following hotel (18/5 - 21/5) in Central South Beach : (Pirce $84,-) 4-star hotel in Central South Beach This hotel features the following amenities: Suite , Near Beach , Studio , Fully-equipped Kitchen , Airport Shuttle , Complimentary Breakfast ,Daily Housekeeping , Air Conditioning ,Pool(s) , Front Desk , 24-hour Front ,sk High-speed Internet Access , Golf Nearby , Boutique Hotel , Condo I think its the Sanctuary South Beach for I am not sure could somebody confirm it. Of course I will use the betterbidding link to book the hotel at hotwire ;-)

I am aware that several hotels are not located on the strip its self (I checked zone's) but that not problem. We can walk or use our rental car. The budget rate is around $130,- (Per night) if it would be more then I will book a room at the las vegas Hilton (currently arround $120, a night). Regards, Jacko
