Once again booked the Doubletree Guest Suites Gallery One. $81 - 9/26-9/29 - 2 adults. Even though it's not on the beach (it's like 3 blocks), the location is great. What we like about it: Short walk to the beach Cheap supplies and beach toys at nearby Publix ($5 for an already inflated raft) Right next to the mall for their great happy hours At the quieter end of Ft Lauderdale (but still enough bars to make us happy) On the Sun Trolley route Large, 2 room suites with kitchen and balcony. Went with the first choice and indeed it was the Gallery One DoubleTree Suites. Our daughter is 17 so we switched it to 2 adults and 2 children and got it for $81.00. I'm happy with that. Won the Downtown Sheraton at 500 Canal for $81.00. 3/15-3/18. Tried the French Quarter but nothing was coming up. Seems like an okay place, especially for the price. I regretfully admit that after I placed the bid, I realized I did not start from the Better Bidding PRICELINE link :( . My apologies and it won't happen again.

Booked the Holiday Inn Downtown, listed as Central Asheville, for $65/night, 2 nights (4/10/09 - 4/12/09), 4 people - $148.98 total.
