  1. what is the likelyhood that either san fran ic or marriot will come up when bidding on a 4*.... I know there is a chance of the westin too... kind of sucks..
  2. We are leaning towards being able to walk around and take public transportation, is this area pretty central or there one area more central? GenX
  3. How are the 4* in this area? how do they compare to Intercont. San Francisco... I believe that available on Hotwire for 125 a night (gym, swimming, restaurant, business and internet). GenX
  4. Hi, Going to San Fran this weekend and need to get a hotel room. (Nov 7 - 10) Looking at any of the central areas: USE, USW, SOMA, Embarcadero. Criteria, looking for the best bargin would prefer to spend under $100 if possible but can increase it. I will probably rent a car so parking would be a factor. Hotwire is showing the following USE 4* 139 or 4.5* 125 Nob Hil 4* 139 Embarcadero - 4.5 169 and 4* 149 USW - 4*172 Is it even possible to get in under a 100 for this weekend? Your help is appericated GenX

Last hotel I won is for Jun 26-27, 2.5*.. redlands CA, won Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, San Bernardino/Redlands for $60. I would like to thank thereuare and especially Colfax, who helped me decide on an area and helped me with betting strategy through the pm system. thank you. GenX... ps... couldnt update title
  6. not really picky about the ammenties at all, as long as the hotel is decent and breakfast and parking are included I am good to go... however price is the key too. So would you think if I bid up until 65 on priceline that if I win a 2.5 star hotel in riverside east that it will include parking and breakfast? I see alot of people win 3* hilton san berdino... does this include breakfast and parking? genx

  8. Hi Guys Need some help, I need a hotel to stay in between nights, was looking at Inland Empire area (riverside east) as its close to the shopping (desert outlets) and then in the morning I could leave to vegas or possible shop in the morning then leave... just easier then to go back to the hotel in glendale. Need this for june 27, Have been bidding on Riverside east area 2.5 star.... have bid between 40-50 and all rejected... any idea on what I need to bid... Also... on hotwire there is a 2.5 star hotel listed under san Bernardino - Colton - Rialto for 49... do you recommed this option. If I could get breakfast and parking included that would be great... 9. Hi Guys, Not really sure what happened on this one, have been bidding on this for the past few weeks started bidding at 40 and moved up to 65 the other day and was notified to increase bid by 17, decided not to increase and just go up slightly 70 rejected.. this whole time hotwire was showing a 3* for 99... well today I checked and hotwire dropped its rate to 83... so I decided to lower bid.. Succeeded at $65, previously rejected bid was at $60. Was never prompted for a $17 increase during this process.I thought I was going to win marriot burbank, as thats what everyone who has been bidding in that area seem to get but i got Hilton instead... checked hilton rate and cheapest was 225 so not bad I guess... 10. So finally got the car booked been trying for the past week. Started at 12/13 a day for 2 days, then increased it to dollar (13/14) until finally won... bid 15 earlier today, rejected tried 16 and worked. Not sure how great of a deal this, was 6 dollars lower then HOTWIRE which was 21.95. Any ideas on what I can expect? are you able to make request. Used PRICELINE link GenX

  13. Thanks for the response... I heard that hollywood has some shady area and not really sure if the wife would want to stay there. I have read that 2.5 have free parking so that maybe a bonus to consider... this is is more general question, but when you book the lower star hotels like holiday inn on priceline do they include perks like free breakfast? I know HOTWIRE does this but wasnt sure if that was the case with PRICELINE. I will definatly post my winning bid, I only won once before.. Thanks agian for any insight. GenX
