I have used the PRICELINE links! Although not cheap at all, that seems like a nice deal for me, in comparison to the prices researched for those dates. And the Empire Hotel was especifically what I was bidding for....
A deal that it seemed to be this property was available in Hotwire for $237. So I guess that was a nice deal for that very expensive time in ny(I was shocked by Kayak prices ranging from $400 to $700(!) for a 4* in my dates).

In my experience the Westin brand is very acommodating: they gave me a room with an espectacular view in Paris and that was also a HOTWIRE booking!
$250 tops. I've been looking at other sites and hotel sites too and everything is really expensive, more than $400... I am considering to start looking for areas I have never been very much interested before, like Chelsea, Midtown Central and Downtown. Do you have any suggestions about these areas' properties? thank you.
An unexpected win, since my research was making me believe that, for my dates, I would probably end up in a 3* for US250 minimum!!! I'm very pleased since I have already stayed in the same street, at the Royalton, and loved the location! And I enjoy the history around the Algonquin as well!!!
After months of research on Paris 3 and 4* properties, I've came to the conclusion that this Hotwire offer on the Westin was the best available cost-benefit for the surroundings and comfort I was looking for! :) Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Laundry P.S.: used the HOTWIRE link, as usual!
Been to this property before, and although the rooms are tiny, loved the location and the ambience/decor. I think the value is fine! Maybe I'll try for an upgraded bigger room... PS: sorry moderators, but I have made a mistake in the topic and don't know how to edit, it's 3 1/2 stars and not 4!!!
I'm sorry, but I don't understand... what am I supposed to do at the other thread? That hotel was identified and I didn't go for it, I got another deal through priceline, posted the results here and have always used the links.
Happy deal!!! Just wanted to stay close to the park and confortable! I've had to raise my bids because for my period of time I was being rejected everyday when trying those dec and jan rates posted here. But I still think value will be great! :) It seems the dates and price are not showing in the topic: $75 3/25/10-3/28/10
:) That was a surprise, since everyone was getting Parc55 or the Hyatt when bidding for USquare!!! But I'm happy with the Nikko, the reviews and photos on TA are fine and the location is perfect!! :)
