  1. 3* hotel DFW Airport/Las Colinas/Irving area $44/night Amenities: shuttle, breakfast, fitness center, pool,, business center, laundry, hi-speed internet, and golf. From the listings here, I determined this was likely the La Quinta, which was correct. La Quinta - Hotel & Suites DFW Airport/Las Colinas N. MacArthur Blvd. Irving, TX $44/night total for 2 nights with taxes: $106.86 Very happy to find a great price on this hotel in this area. Used the HOTWIRE link here to make the reservation. 2. 2.5* hotel in Houston, TX - Clearlake/Nasa area Amenities: breakfast, fitness center, pool, business center, laundry, hi-speed internet. 4.5 out of 5 rating on tripadvisor La Quinta Inn & Suites Seabrook, TX $59 a night Total for 3 nights with tax: $211.12 I used the HOTWIRE link here to book this. There were some cheaper hotels listed in other areas of Houston, but decided to go for this one to be close to Nasa & Galveston. Didn't see this listed on this site yet, but had it narrowed down to 2 based on trip advisor ratings. Looks like a nice place. :)

  5. I went ahead & booked this. It is the Hyatt Place Cincinnati/Blue Ash. I'm thrilled - this fits our plans perfectly. Booked for 7/3 - 7/12 - at $46/night... Total cost for 9 nights: $482.44. Thanks so much for all your help and I did use the HOTWIRE link here to book it. :)
  6. Still looking for a hotel in Cincinnati for July 3 - 12. Hotwire is listing a 3* in Blue Ash for $46/night with these ammenities: smoke-free, breakfast, fitness center, pool, business center, hi-speed internet, and golf nearby. I'm thinking it's a match for the Hyatt Place Northeast? I appreciate your help in id-ing this... will use the HOTWIRE link here to book once I decide where to stay exactly. Thanks!
  7. thanks for the help. The offer is not listed now, and I'm now looking at areas all around Cincy to decide where we want to stay for sure.
  8. hi all... looking at hotels for an upcoming vacation in Cincinnati. Hotwire is listing a 3* hotel in North Cincinnati/West Chester/Sharonville for $39/night... Dates will be starting 7/3 or 7/4 through checkout on 7/12. Amenities listed are: fitness, pool, restaurant, business center, hi speed internet, and golf nearby. I was thinking of splitting the stay with a few nights downtown and a few in either Blue Ash or Mason... but at this price, I may just stay in one place all week and drive to the various attractions. Any thoughts on what this hotel may be before I decide if I'm going to book it? Thanks so much again for your help - I will continue to use the links here if I do decide to book on hotwire.
  9. bids of $28 and $31 with priceline did not work. I decided to switch to hotwire and book the 2.5* listed there. It is the LaQuinta Huntsville West - $33/night. Total for 2 nights with taxes is $79.87. Thanks for your help as always! :)
  10. I've started on priceline, but no success just yet. there is a 2.5* on hotwire now for $33/night... the amenities listed are breakfast, pool, laundry, and hi speed internet... I'm curious what that hotel may be before I bid higher than that amount on priceline.
  11. Thanks - I see the 2.5* on hotwire now... I think I will still try PRICELINE first, as I've stayed at several 2.5* (priceline ratings) before. I will let you know how this goes! :) any thought as to what hotel the 2.5* on HOTWIRE might be?
  12. Yes, my maximum bid is $45/night and my minimum star level is 2.5* Thanks much! :)
  13. hi all... I'm needing a hotel in Huntsville, Alabama - check in 4/17/09, checkout 4/19/09. I'm not picky about amenities, just want something nice, so aiming at 2.5* or higher. Hotwire is listing a 3* in Huntsville/Madison for $46/night... would like to try priceline first to see if I can get something even less expensive. I'm looking in the Huntsville zone (zone 2 on priceline) or the Huntsville West zone (zone 5 on priceline). let me know your thoughts on a bidding strategy and/or if you need any more info from me. I'm planning to use the links here to connect thru to PRICELINE. Thanks much, :))
  14. Thanks again for the help with this. Our stay in Gurnee, IL was great. The LaQuinta Inn was very nice. Check-in went fine - we were booked in a king room, but they were able to change us to a double room without any problems. The staff was friendly & helpful with directions, train information, etc. The room was nice and clean. Breakfast was good too -- make your own waffles, plus cereal, bagels, toast, juices, and fruit. The pool was a nice size, but not too deep, which was good for my kiddos. They also had a whirlpool/spa as well. The hotel is right off the highway on a frontage road with other hotels, and several restaurants. It's also within about 2 blocks of the entrance to Six Flags Great America. The Waukegan train station was about 15min. drive. overall, this was a great stay & an even better price. I would recommend this hotel to anyone else needing a great place to stop for a few nights. Linda :)
  15. Thanks so much for your help and information. I decided to go for it. It is the LaQuinta Inn Gurnee 5688 N. Ridge Road Gurnee, Illinois 60031 1 room(s): $49.00 per night x 2 night(s) SubTotal:$98.00 Tax recovery charge and fees: $16.76 Total: $114.76 I'm not sure how to edit my first post to change the subject line, but this again was a 2.5* hotel with these ammenities: complimentary breakfast, pool, laundry, hi-speed internet, and golf nearby. Thanks again! I also need a hotel for one night in Joliet, so will open up a new post for that inquiry. :)
  16. thanks so much.. I think for this trip, I'd feel more comfortable with Hotwire, where I can see the hotel does have a pool (the most important part of the trip for my 5 yr old!)... We're looking at being in Gurnee July 21 - 23, so 2 nights. I just rechecked hotwire and it's still coming up as 2.5 stars with the ammenities listed in my first post. Thanks!
  17. howdy... I'm new to Hotwire... I used to use PRICELINE a lot years ago... planning a trip to Chicago this summer... searched on HOTWIRE for the Gurnee area... it's listing a 2.5 star hotel with these ammenities: complimentary breakfast, pool, laundry, hi-speed internet, and golf nearby. The rate is $49 a night, which is much lower than what I'm finding anywhere else on the web. Any idea what hotel this could be? Should I dig into PRICELINE as well? I'm not extremely picky, but I don't want to be in a dump either. Thanks!
