  1. Copied and pasted from confirmation page: Amenities Free parking, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Indoor pool(s), Airport shuttle, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby Accessibility Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
  2. Amenities now listed as Free WiFi - Business Center and Fitness Center - Given the fact that NY is fairly expensive this week and any hotel midtown under $200 is usually a good deal for a weeknight I decided on the Express deal (where free wifi was guaranteed) instead of bidding on a room and not getting free wifi - and getting placed at the Roosevelt which is in no way a 4* property.
  3. Was bidding for a 3.5* in Midtown East and got this on my first bid. I obviously underestimated the market as I probably could have done a little better but am happy at $141 for a night in NYC.
  4. Started at $55 - Offered an instant rebid at $72 but decided to split the difference and won it at $63 - Have stayed here before - Nice property - close to Highways and train - used the PRICELINE link to book.
  5. Won on the first Bid - I probably could have been more aggressive but this is the property I was targeting and current rate is $139 - and I needed the room for tonight so I did not want to spend too much time bidding.
  6. To be honest I am annoyed by this selection for two reasons. First I started bidding too high and won on the first bid so I am sure I could have done better (Bad planning on my part). Second this property has historically been a 3* then a 3.5* and now it is a 4* I find it hard to believe that it is truly in the 4* category. Please update the hotel list to reflect the new rating.
  7. Just Bid on and won 4* Hilton New York $121 Bid for the night of 3/11 - Mid Town West Zone Started with 4* MTW Zone and $107 - Unsuccessful but offered a Auto rebid if I increased the bid to $137 Added Coney Island Zone for a free rebid and increased the offer to 121
  8. $54.00 - 11/10/2011 - 11/11/2011 3* Wilkes-Barre Best Western Plus East Mountain Inn & Suites Started at $45 - Was given a free rebid a $54 - Thought I may be able to get it for a little less but knew this would be a sure thing and was late to pick up my daughter - so did not worry about a few dollars
  9. Just won the Westin Georgetown for $90 per night from 12/27-12/31 Started at $75 and moved up with rebids in $5 increments -used the PRICELINE link at top of page
  10. Just got the Grand Hyatt in NYC MTE for $140 (plus 30.71 in tax) for 3/11/06 Began with MTW 4* at $100 then MTW,MTE 4* at $110 then MTW,MTE,UM/CPS 4* at $125 then MTW,MTE,UM/CPS,UES 4* at $140 Based upon previous posts I was expecting the Grand Hyatt at around this price but would have been happy at any of the other areas as well.
  11. Sheraton Bal Harbor Resort 4/24/05 - 4/28/05 $170 I bid on and won this resort today. I started at $120 and worked my way up in $10 increments using free rebids (lots of free rebids for resorts in the Miami area). Not the cheapest place to stay on the beach but it is a busy time of year and we wanted a resort on the Beach. Total cost was $170 x 4 = $680 plus $108.04 in taxes and service fees. I am not sure how to calculate if i over bid or not based on the taxes, but i am pretty happy considering the room is going for about $300 / night on line.
  12. Booked the 3* Springfield Marriott on 7/29 for the night of 7/31/2004 Won at a price of $55 Originally bid $50 was rejected added a zone and bid $55 and won
