    ---

I am driving down from Vancouver, so I do need parking services. Ended up going to the Doubletree Seattle-Airport site to find out that it's $16 + tax for self-parking, and $20 + tax for valet parking.

  4. Always used PRICELINE, but bid up to $58 and still no good for a 3.5*. So I decided to check out Hotwire. Initially they asked $58 for a 3.5*, but decided to wait a bit since I am not rushed. I signed up to watch for price changes, and today it dropped to $52, so I jumped on it.

Using the site's HOTWIRE link, I ended with the Doubletree Hotel. I was hoping for Radisson, as they offered free parking, but it's a gamble when you pick Airport or Downtown. Still, with the $16 / night premium on self-parking, I am happy with the price.

Now I just need to find a deal in Vancouver, BC. :)

    Here is the breakdown:

Hotel rate per night - Hotwire hot Rate: $52.00

    Nights: 1

    Rooms: 1

    Subtotal: $52.00

Tax recovery charges and fees: $13.92

    Total price: $65.92

  5. Using the PRICELINE link, I attempted to bid $31 for a 3* hotel in Tech Center South. I got rejected but got an offer for $8 more, so I tried adding Tech Center North -- still rejected.

I decided to add $2 instead and got it.

    Here is the breakdown:

Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $33.00 (USD)

    Number of Rooms: 1

    Number of Nights: 1

    Room Subtotal: $33.00 (USD)

    Taxes and Fees: $11.64 (USD)

    Total Room Cost: $44.64 (USD)

  6. Using the PRICELINE link, I attempted to bid $45 for a 3.5* hotel. I got rejected, so I tried downgrading to a 3* and ended up with Hyatt Place. Still a good deal in my opinion. I stayed at the Lombard Hyatt Place for $38 a couple of years ago, and it was the sweetest deal I got (with BetterBidding's help of course). Hopefully this will be the same.

    Here is the breakdown:

    Your Offer Price: $45.00

    Number of Rooms: 1

    Number of Nights: 1

    Subtotal: $45.00

    Taxes and Fees: $14.90

    Total Charges*: $59.90

  7. Started with the initial bid of $50, requested that I bump the bid up by $14 to try again immediately. Using the PRICELINE link above, I decided to incrementally go up by a dollar until my bid got accepted. Ended at $56.

    Information is as follows:

    Red Lion Colonial Hotel Helena

    2301 Colonial Drive

    Helena, Montana 59601

    406-443-2100

    Your Offer Price: $56.00

    Number of Rooms: 1

    Number of Nights: 1

    Subtotal: $56.00

    Taxes and Service Fees: $12.02

    Total Charges*: $68.02

  8. Booked for 2008/07/17 for one night. (Sorry, should've posted the date and price on the subject)

Got it with the initial bid of $60. Used the PRICELINE links above to make my purchase. A big savings compared to $270 (which is what Hyatt wants).

    Your Offer Price: $60.00

    Number of Rooms: 1

    Number of Nights: 1

    Subtotal: $60.00

    Taxes and Service Fees: $17.64

    Total Charges*: $77.64

    Finally accepted at $49.
