In Whistler most hotels require you to be 21, so you have to watch out for that. We phoned a couple of hotels and they said they don't check but you can never count on that. Thanks for the advice!

We bid in Vancouver first and it was getting expensive for a 3*, so we tried the Airport area. We bid $70, $75, and at $80 we got an offer for a free re-bid if we went $22 higher. We didn't accept tried $83 no luck and finally got it at $86. We're traveling to Victoria as well, so it's closer to the Tsawwassen Fairy Terminal than the Downtown area, which is a plus. After these nights we are going to the downtown area anyways :)
Started with $107, $110, $115, $117, $120, $125, $130, and finally won at $135. This time on the month is pretty busy and the hotel is regular $291, so I believe I got a good deal. Used the PRICELINE link here.
Thanks for the notice, I tried $135 because I seen you got this and I got the Hyatt as well! We are going to be splitting our days up, 1 day with the Hyatt and 2 with a 3*, hopefully for cheap.
Yeah, I'm only going to be traveling in Canada where the age of majority is 18 or 19. Currently I'm 19 and I could book any hotel in Canada without Priceline. I believe Priceline just put the age of 21 and didn't want to set it up for each location. I have suggested that they set up the different locations. I'm curious, in which place were you not allowed to check-in? Thanks a lot!
My girlfriend and I are bidding at almost the same time as you. We aren't have any luck either. We even tried bidding on 3 stars with a max bid of $63 because we seen that people got $60 and below but no hotel budged. Hopefully as it gets closer hotels will be a bit cheaper but you never know. If you notice anything please post it and I will do the same :)
