  1. 1st Bid - Great Hotel Forgot to add Marriott to the title - can you fix? Thanks
  2. Two days ago spent quite a bit of time biding from $46 up to $54 on this area and got zero. Today my first bid at $54 for Union City and Pleasanton won. {sigh}..neither rhyme nor reason....
  3. Started bidding over two days ago, working up to $59 from $45, Also tried Milpetas up to $57 Started from your PRICELINE link this time as well.
  4. Note that Priceline has just realigned this area with 11 subareas instead of the previous 8. Good news is now 3 free rebids at 3* and up level as two of the new areas have only 2 star. I tried several bids up to $52 trying to get a Union City 3* with no luck before starting over and winning this on the first bid
  5. Tried Pleasanton / San Ramon / Hayward / Union City & Milpetas - Nothing below $52 [+$5]
  6. Yes, it's a beautiful hotel that I've only won one time before. I was hoping to stay below $45 as has been my trend over the last few weeks. I know there's a big conference in town next week, hopefully things will settle back down. Any sense of trends from your perspective?
  7. Started with Milpitas $41 Tried San Jose $41 then both together at $43 Milpitas South San Jose $45 San Jose South San Jose $45 Then all three at $47 Finally won by adding Newark Fremont at $49 Used above PRICELINE links
  8. Area 2 [Milpitas] @ $40 Logged out and back in Area 6 [san Jose] for $41 to win Used above PRICELINE links
  9. Having done bidding for almost every week for the last six months for San Jose at 3*, I can pretty much guarantee that for between $40 and $50 in San Jose you'll get the Holiday Inn, the Wyndam or [less often] the Radison Plaza. Add Milpitas to the mix and you get the Beverly Heritage and [once] the Crown Plaza. All are free parking, none have a free breakfast. I've tried 2.5* as low as $31 with no luck. Seems the 3*+ are the real deals. The only suggestion I would make if the above doesn't work would be to try 4* San Jose $55 to $65. You might end up downtown and you'll certainly pay parking. Good luck. I'd be curious to see what you get in the end.
  10. Started San Jose $40 Declined +$12 counter Added Milpitas [6+2] at $42 Logged out & restarted San Jose + San Jose South $44 Declined +$12 counter Added Milpitas @ $46 to win Started from PRICELINE links here
  11. Started at $39 Milpitas Rejected +11 counter Added Redwood City / San Carlos [no 3+*] at $41 to win Used above link
  12. Usual drill, $39 in San Jose to start. Went up in $2 increments until $47 win. Turned down 2 counters, which would have been $51 / $53 if accepted Used PRICELINE links here to start
  13. Started San Jose $39 3* [ignored warnings] Declined +11 counter Added San Jose South $41 Logged Out, restarted San Jose + Milpetas $43 to win Used PRICELINE links here to start
  14. Tried to start at $39, got 2(!) warnings it was too low Started with San Jose @ $41 Turned down +12 rebid offer [that's the Holiday Inn] Added San Jose South @ $43 logged out logged back in, San Jose + Milpetas @ $45 to win Used PRICELINE links on this page to start.
  15. Sorry - forgot to mention I started from this page to get to PRICELINE......
  16. Started with 4*, went up to $49 in all areas Then tried 3.5*, first bid at $35 Was offered instant rebid at +9, so won at $44 Maybe they won't steal my credit card number this time.....
