  1. A little annoyed at myself as I haven't done this in a while and didn't pay close enough attention to your hotel lists.  I now realize that I could have gotten this in Priceline Express for $74 as it appears to be the only property listed there as a 3*.  I don't think there is anything I can do now tho as I believe this is a non-refundbable bid.  Please let me know if I am incorrect.  Apologies for posting a question and a win in the same place.  thank you.

  2. just won the Residence Inn Worcester for $86, for tomorrow night, 6/28/13. Bid $85 first for 3.5 star, knowing there was not one, then free rebid at 86 and was accepted. includes free hot breakfast and parking. listed rates $119-129. was wondering if I started too high but did not have a lot of time as I am going down for Becker College orientation in the morning.

Hope this is posted correctly, have not done this in a while. And did use the PRICELINE link. Thanks.

  3. question for you, was trying to get the hyatt regency penns landing hotel for myself for an upcoming saturday night stay, october 3. tried hotwire and requested 3* and up. 3 was the highest they came back with at $109. I believe this cannot be the hyatt regency penns landing as that was a 4. is that what you think? below are the amenities listed: smoke free, fitness center, pool, business center, restaurant, laundry and high speed access.

  4. she's much better thanks. and they loved the hotel. question for you, was trying to get this hotel for myself for an upcoming saturday night stay, october 3. tried hotwire and requested 3* and up. 3 was the highest they came back with at $109. 5. both the homestead hotel and mapquest said the average was around 25-30 mins to la salle but took your advice and after looking around the board i saw that a poster had recently won a bid at the hilton inn for $80 in university city. i was pretty sure there were only two hotels there, the sheraton which i stayed at last time and now the hilton, plus there was a two star which i didn't know it was.

so in i bid for two rooms in the university city region for $81 each, and they were accepted! there is no swimming pool but the area is nice and the going rate is at least $150. so i think i did well. btw, they even offered an extended stay at the same rate. will let you know how this compares to the sheraton, which is almost across the street.

not sure how to break this out if it needs to be reposted will ask you to do that. And yes I did use your PRICELINE link.

    thanks again.

  6. thank you. am a little nervous as it is four of us and i want to guarantee that we have somewhat separate rooms. i found a hotel called homewood suites in mount laurel that has everything we need. indoor pool opened late, separate bedroom, no parking fee, free breakfast only drawback that it is a 25 minute drive.

the rate is $109. not sure i should take a chance on hotwire with 4 people but will go with your judgment. thanks.

  7. Well this was a long, drawn out bid (my first). Started bid at $79, then every 24 hours re-bid at 84, 85, 89, 95, 99, 103 and 107. all rejected.

took a break, waited a little over a week and re-bid today at $107, which was accepted.

of course, now i am wondering if i should have started lower again today but i think this is a good rate for this hotel.

used the PRICELINE links from your site.

    thanks for your help. :)

  8. sorry didn't post properly before. i read your instructions about re-bidding and am very confused. i went on hotwire (thru your link) and tried to find hotels with outdoor pools. the sheraton university hotel (which is what i am aiming for) is listed on hotwire as a hotel in center city west. do hotwire and priceline categorize their hotel groupings differently?

as to your question about maximim bids, i am currently holding a reservation at a crowne plaza main line for $129 which i booked through onecampus visit (before i found your site) which is fully refundable so i am willing to pay up to and probably a bit more for the sheraton.

so my question is: if i bid on priceline and choose university city philadelphia, 3 stars are there only two hotels in that group the sheraton and the hilton?

  9. hi i am a new bidder. used your link to bid on priceline for june 29 one night, university city philadelphia. as there are only two hotels, hilton and sheraton i am hoping for the sheraton but would accept either one. i bid $79 with $5 insurance as a three star and that was rejected.

it says i need to change one of the check marks. if i lower it to a 2 star, would that be the same hotel choices. not really sure how this is working. was really looking for a place near lasalle university with an outdoor pool.

thanks for any help you could give me.
