needed to stay downtown at buffalo from 28/04/10-30/04/10 Saw this post here--> Priceline Buffalo New York I wanted either the adams mark or hyatt. PRICELINE had a $46 per night 3* which is the adam marks for my stay. i rebid a couple of times. TO answer the above link, $34 is the lowest amount you could have gotten it at. I have a $25 voucher for $5 per night up to 5 nights So my bid was as follows with the $5 voucher: 20+5=25 23+5=28 25+5=30 28+5=33 29+5=34 My bid was accepted at $34 but I only paid $29 thanks to the voucher. one thing to comment about. HOTWIRE price was $110 total while price line price was $75 total. However PRICELINE prices have really gone up, I have notice sometimes PRICELINE is no longer a good deal anymore due to their increase in taxes and fees. Overall I am happy.

OMG< I have been bidding for 3 days now but no dice. I will start with my 5* bid first. Trip is from 25/04/10-01/05/10. So total of 6 nights. Did not mind a 5 star hotel in either the city-marina bay, orchard or bugis area. use rebid zones and was able to bid 4-5 times for each zone I wanted. Started at 70 for city-hall marina bay than went to 72 75 77 78 79 80 82 84 86 88 90 93 96 Still no! Orchard started at 75 and last bid was 97 and still got rejected Bugis started at 70 and last bid was at 96 and got rejected! Now for the 4* hotel, I have a $25 coupon to be used by april 16th. For the 4* I only want to stay in either the marina or orchard or riverside area. marina bid started at 66 and last bid was 90.17. got rejected Orchard bid for a 4* started at 68 and last bid was at 90.17, got rejected. Riverside bid started at 76 and got rejected at 90.17. At this point I decided to post here and ask for help. Isnt the prices a bit high? Looking at past bids, highest recent bid was 90. Trip is like10-14 days away so getting a bit nervous! Thanks guys SOrry for the long post

Hello I plan to rent a car from HOTWIRE or PRICELINE from YYZ/toronto airport in canada. I plan to take it over the border to the states. Would there be a problem? Would this be allowed by PRICELINE or HOTWIRE? THanks once again

Past bids were usually $50 but maybe because it is long weekend so it is more expensive. There were 5 re-bid zones Tried 6 days ago and failed but here is the attempt. Seeing as there were so many zones so I tried to low ball. I was aiming for a the 4* hyatt Attempt 1-$28 Attempt 2-$30 Attempt 3-$33 Attempt 4-$35 Attempt 5-$37 There goes the end of my 1st shot at it Tried again the next day Attempt 1-$35 Attempt 2-$37 Attempt 3-$40 Attempt 4-$43 Attempt 5-$47 Failed again. Tried again the next day Attempt 1-$46 Attempt 2-$49 Attempt 3-$50 Attempt 4-$52 Attempt 5-$55 Tried again the next day Seems like my low ball attempt is failing and even the 50 dollar bid does not work Attempt 1-$50 Attempt 2-$52 Attempt 3-$55 Attempt 4-$59 Attempt 5-$62-->SUCCESS Wow unbelievable eh? about 20 attempts, I thought as usually the price was around $50. Also I check and I saw the normal rate per night was only $95 for it per day. I knew I have a good chance at around $46-$50 as usually i divide their rates by half. Nope failed this time, had to get all the way up to $62. Maybe $60 was the magic number but I was getting a bit annoyed. I was prepared to low ball the 3* radisson for about $35-$40 if the 62 attempt did not work for the hyatt. Honestly, I wanted it to fail. lol but i only spend $50 more for a great hotel. If i think about it, a motel cost 69.99 a night at normal rate so for the same price I got a 4* so no complains. Used the PRICELINE link! Thanks

stayed there, asked for a free upgrade and got upgraded to a fallsview room:) Gave her a tip for that. Requested late check out too however when i got to the hotel room, i was dissapointed. Room was very tiny compared to a 4* hotel but this is only 3.5* so next time I would pay a bit more for that extra comfort nice location though

I dun think you have been to the area but theres only two casino on the canadian side of the border. 4* hotel that is connected to the newer fallsview casino is the hilton by a covered walkway but that hotel is not a HOTWIRE user. The other casino is casino niagara which is connected to both the sheraton fallsview and crowne plaza. Sheraton fallsview is a 4* hotel and it is often a winning bid for both hotwire and priceline users and its strange as to why they do not list casino as a amenities for sheraton. Therefore whenever you see casino for a 3.5* ,it has to be the crowne plaza. No other casino with hotels connected to it on the canadian side

I stayed at that particular double tree many times! it was very nice and within walking distance to fallsview casino. Parking is 10 dollar per day there though. So you could park at the casino or just tell them you do not need parking and risk it! I have ask for a upgrade many time and they usually give it to me! enjoy

Hmmz i gave up on using hotwire and priceline as it was too expensive I book the doubletree from Expedia or Travelocity for just $115 a night :) expensive as i stayed 2-3 nights
