  1. I stay in DT Little Rock every couple of months and use Priceline for my hotel. I always bid for a 3* and typically I get the Doubletree, but sometimes I get the Wyndham. However, this past week I got a new one, the Legacy Hotel. This place was recently bought by a group of investors and they have plans to remodel it, but as of now, it is a dump. It needs a massive renovation, and I hope it is nice when they are through, but I wouldn't stay here again in its present condition. Its location is also not as good. It is not in the Rivermarket District like the Doubletree and arguably the Wyndham, but more in the business district.

This is unfortunate as I could always count on Priceline to get me a cheap room in the Rivermarket district.

  2. I wanted a 3* hotel downtown, so I used LR-SW and NLR as free rebids. I've been bidding for awhile and slowly increasing. Got it for $56 + $14 in taxes/fees. I noticed an earlier poster got it for $55 this past summer. Advanced purchase rate was $76+tax, so a fair deal.

This was the hotel I wanted, so I feel good. Last time I bid this zone I got the Holiday Inn Presidential. Not a bad hotel, but it doesn't have a good walking option to area places.

I used the PRICELINE link on the forum. :)

  3. I booked this hotel for two nights through Priceline for a pre-cruise stay. This was my second visit to this hotel, the first visit was in June 2006.

Upon arrival at 2:00 a.m., the front desk staff took an inordinate amount of time to find my room. In addition, I had called ahead and requested a crib for the room. I was told there was not a crib in the room and that the front desk did not have the ability to get one at that time. When I made it to the room I discovered there were no towels and there was a dead bug (dirt dobber) on the floor. Other problems in the room were burned out light bulbs, the remote did not work well, and the A/C did not work well. I heard other guests report the pool was cloudy. Positives were the inclusion of a refrigerator in the room and the water pressure.

For the price I paid for this room, I feel I received adequate quality. However, if I was paying the retail price for this hotel, I would feel the hotel was substandard. I would only recommend this hotel if you can get it for a substantial bargain off the retail price.
