  1. 3* Courtyard by Marriott Bid $50.00 Taxes & Fees: $13.69 Total Charged to Card: $63.69 (glad to get it, however was hoping for the Homewood Suites by Hilton w/ the free breakfast) am staying the week in the area, but thinking about just staying with this one night for now and checking it out before I extend the stay or make a different bid.

  4. 7/8 - 7/9 Also another question. They list amenities as "Amenities: Fitness Center, Pool(s), Business Center See all" however in RED below it, it says... Free Parking, Free Breakfast, Free Internet Is the black writing what a 2 1/2 COULD have, and the red is what this property does have???? Thank you, Julie
  5. Trying to figure out which hotel this may be. Any thoughts? $79 other sites* $44 per room per night Free Parking, Free Breakfast, Free Internet
  6. Posting MUCH later - almost a year. However, this is what we decided to do. We ended up staying at the Hyatt by O'Hare for one night and then the second night we discovered that the Natural History museum was doing a family overnight - so it was a double bonus of being able to squeeze in another museum visit and take care of our overnight accommodations. (plus parking was included too =)
  7. Just tried to do Priceline for 2* in Braintree area for 7/15 - 7/16, one night stay - bid was $50 and was declined. I've done 50, 52, 57 and been rejected everytime. I got an email saying a $75 was recently accepted in that area. Going to try a $73. Will let you know how it goes...
  8. for a stay on 4/29/11 a bid of $65 via priceline got me a room at the Extended Stay in Braintree. for a stay on 11/5/10 a bid of $50 via priceline got me a room at Holiday Inn Express Braintree. I would definitely be happy staying at the Holiday Inn Express again. I wasn't as impressed with the Extended Stay (I think it was okay, I just didn't realize that it is really bare bones - no shampoo. blowdryer, free wifi, etc. in the rooms) Good luck!!!
  9. Actually not last stop on the T. Adams Inn is the first stop in Quincy from Boston. However, not in "Boston." Good price option if you don't need to get back and forth to your hotel room much except for beginning of day and end of day, however, not a good option if you would rather stay in the city and have easy access to your room.
  10. we will be staying 8/4 - 8/6. Thinking about parking, I'm leaning towards the suburbs. Will be coming from South Bend, IN area. Thank you.
  11. travel was Friday, July 23rd to Saturday, July 24th
  12. We are LOVING this hotel. The set-up of the room is GREAT. a sleeping area with a divider to the sofa/office area. Also the room is a very nice size.
  13. Thanks for the help, I couldn't figure out on my own how to find the amenities after I booked. They were: Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access got in late - around 10:30pm and left late around 11:30am. room furnishing were dated we were on the 7th floor by the elevator and it was a bit loud (from both the elevator and the highway traffic), but we fell asleep quickly so not a big deal. HOWEVER, shower in the morning was VERY cold. Called downstairs and they told me to let it run awhile, but we already had. Was transferred to manager and he asked if we were staying another night, I told him no, and he said that he would adjust our bill. I didn't mention that we booked via hotwire. Not sure if he took off our $10 parking or not (have been on the road and haven't checked credit card statement yet). However, I wasn't looking for $ back. Just wanted it taken care of for the next guest. ALSO, left a personal pillow in the room and I followed up with a phone call to Lost & Found - had to leave a voicemail - they haven't called me back. DISAPPOINTING. (I will call again, but disappointed that I haven't had a return phone call).
  14. Hi - I'm traveling with my 9yo son to Chicago to visit a couple of museums. Looking for hotel for Thursday night 8/5 (maybe Wednesday too). ($100 - $125 budget range is what we are looking at now) We are planning to go to the Museum of Science and Industry on Thursday and then to the Planetarium on Friday day and then we are staying overnight on Friday at the Field Natural History Museum. Not too familiar with Chicago. Should we pay the premium and stay downtown or stay in a suburb (if suburb, hint of good suburb would be great). Since we would probably drive to Science & Industry and we will be driving to Field Museum - not sure if we want to pay for parking at the hotel and then at the site too. Any suggestions you have would be great. Thank you, Julie
  15. 3* Downtown Buffalo Hotel $69. With tax and fees total is: $84.61 (saw that this hotel doesn't have good reviews, but just need a quick off of the highway bed for the night - so hoping for the best.)
  16. First I entered "name your own price" of $51. It was rejected, but let me resubmit for $61 right away. It was accepted. Price on the Hyatt site for these same dates is $107 per night.
