  1. Buyer Beware on this one! I won this one as a 3* and was disappointed. I expected Holiday Inn. Based upon my BB research the LaQuinta hotel had been changed to 2.5*. So my win was unexpected for this hotel as I had set my minimum star rating to 3*. Well apparently Hotwire is playing games with this hotel. I complained to Hotwire as was recommended by the BB site from a previous poster who had same issue and sure enough they apologized and said this hotel would be reclassified to 2.5*. They offered me the choice of $90 to be used on a future booking if I KEPT the reservation. No sir! I called and they ultimately refunded my money. Initially, they were unwilling to do a refund and instead wanted to allow me to cancel only on condition of selecting something different. However, the $90 credit would be off the table. I was unable to find something comparable in the area so they went ahead and granted the refund. I appreciated they did this as a customer satisfier. HOWEVER, the hotel's star rating is still unchanged so... Buyer Beware! P.S. I was able to score on Hotwire the HYATT House for $55 per night in the Sterling/Dulles Airport area. Very nice hotel and awesome deal! La Quinta Inn & Suites Columbia Jessup 7300 Crestmount Rd Jessup,MD Amenities Free Parking, Free Breakfast, Free Internet, Pet friendly, Fitness Center, Business Center, Self service laundry, Internet access,

  3. I love them all (except for Empire State Building)... Those prices are no longer available. I had indicated in my original post that is was a private 1 day sale. :( I will wait in hopes that I'm presented with it again.
  4. Ok. Thanks so much. I will be sure to post once I finalize! Right now I have a reservation at Ramada Eastside for $209 that can be cancelled without penalty. I booked it on their website directly. It includes breakfast, great location, great reviews and has a historic flair. I'm planning to book a deal through Hotwire but am just waiting for the right opportunity. I think I missed out on a couple good ones but now I know and will grab them next time if given another opportunity :)
  5. Hotwire has an area called "Central Park West"... Is that the same as just plain ole "Central Park" in your Hotwire hotel list forum?
  6. Yes... I am willing to pay a max of $250 but would prefer to stay in the low $200s.
  7. Hi... I think TODAY is the day to buy for me! Can you please help me ID the hotels below on Hotwire's Today Only Sale sent via email. The rooms are going fast. 8. Ok. Great. Thanks. I'm still holding out. I'm trying to stay at $200/night. Do you think I can do better if I wait a bit?
  9. Same hotel is now showing for $241. Can you help me ID it?
  10. Need help identifying 3.5 star hotel in Midtown East for $198/night with dates of travel 10/18/12 - 10/22/12 and following amenities: fitness center, restaurant(s), business center, high speed internet access, accessible path of travel, in-room accessibility, accessible bathroom, roll-in shower.
  11. Hi... I am also really wanting to book the Residence Inn Capitol Hill. I tried Hotwire as was recommended but only two hotels were offered in the Capitol Hill area and their amenities and star ratings didn't match this hotel. I actually don't see where anyone has booked this hotel through Hotwire. Can you guide me in making a bid that would improve my chances in Hotwire or Priceline? My travel dates are 06/30/09 thru 07/07/09. I'm willing to pay whatever is the suggested bid price. Alternatively, I would like a very similar hotel that is within same area... walking distance of the mall and museums, has an indoor pool, continental breakfast, light dinner fare, and suite style rooms. :)
