not sure what i'm doing wrong.. all bids rejected (started with 4* MTE, MTW and added rebids zones etc), i closed browser and started second bid for 4* TS, CPS - said i had already bidded on these same zones... am i doing something wrong? thanks for your help.. and yes, i used the PRICELINE link

our maximum would be $225.. would we have better luck booking in early September, closer the dates we want? thanks for your help.

Oct 2 to Oct 10. have heard Fall is the second most expensive time in NYC, next to Christmas. we're looking to book a 3.5 to 4 stars in any NYC area. what is the average cost of hotel at this time of year, so we're not under-bidding. also, what are our chances of getting all the dates? or should we split the dates up? thank you.

if i added say, TS, would that be one of the four re-bid zones?

here is the breakdown of the zones as follows:

MTE, MTW, MTS, TS, UM-CPS, Downtown: 4* highest star rating

Brooklyn: 3* highest possible rating

UE, UW: 2.5* highest possible rating

i need more explanation and help with the re-bidding process...the zones i'm interested are 4* in MTW, MTE, TS, Downtown and UM-CPS..so say i start out with:

1. MTW, MTE for $170 and get rejected,

2. i should then add , zone UW (which only has 2.5* or under) for $175,

3. if that gets rejected, add UE (only has maximum of 2.5*) for $185

4. if rejected, add Long Is (only has maximum of 2.5) for $190

is this correct?

i closed my browser and tried a new bid, with different zone combo,

but got a Duplicate request..i'm using FireFox on Mac...any suggestions?

then closed browser, opened browser and started with:

$200 is the maximum for the east expensive of 3* that i want to bid for

maximum bid would be $205 ...will not bid for MTS

... but not MTS?

that might have to considered as well?

i also bid the Downtown So-Ho and UM-CPS as well; however, splitting the bid is not an option

went up to $197 for both 4 and 3*...no luck...are prices usually higher end of june?...what price range do you suggest for 4 or 3*

so, should canadians be using an american state and zip code in order to bid successfully on hotels in the States...don't think this issue has been resolved...i've entered my full Canadian address, and so far have been rejected on bids..just would like to make sure that it is not due to my "Canadian Address and zip code"

think we'd be willing to spend maximum $205 for 4*...would like to stay at better hotel, but now sure what prices are like for the end of June in NYC, if all we can get is 3* for that price then we don't have much choice...what price should we star the bid at?

our minimum star rating is a 3 star and maximum bid for would be $200 for a 4 star rating, if at all feasible? the zones which we would like to stay in i think MTE, MTW and Times Square

brand new member and brand new to this priceline bidding...just found out today!! we'll be in NY june 21 to june 28...is it too early to start bidding? also, hope i'm getting the information right...i should only bid on one Zone only, at one time and start with the highest star level? this way, if i'm rejected, i can choose another Zone even with the same star level? i can bid up to four times?

this will be the first time in NYC, any suggestions which Zone to stay in would be really helpful?...which Zones has the most successful bids?
