I'm very interested in what room you end up getting and if you are offered an upgrade (and if so, at what cost?).
I see their lowest level room is a studio ocean view and 42$ more on their best online rate to get the 1 bdr oceanfront suite. I would be interested in knowing if you try and are successful in getting an upgrade.

Thanks for posting. I'm curious...they have several rooms listed by name in their "Mansion" wing and several different sized rooms in the "North Wing". Have you contacted the property yet to find out which room you will likely be receiving?

Are cruise prices pretty much the same across major travel sites or are there any ways to find great discounts on cruises? We would like to go on a 4/5/ or 7 day cruise to the caribbean departing from Galveston on or after Christmas day to return by Sunday January 3rd. I realize the prices seem to be double the sailings in early December but was curious if anyone else had any tips on finding a good deal.

Just got back. The resort was really great. The lazy river was very relaxing and the 2 hot tubs with the hot water-waterfall were awesome too. The grounds are very well kept.
Just wanted to post that there is a 15$ resort fee on top of the amount paid online at Priceline.
Encouraged by the posts on there for this wknd, I decided to try bidding 60$ for San Antonio (West) resort and landed the Hyatt Regency on the first attempt!
Reviews and pics of the property look great. Best posted rate on was directly on the Hyatt site for 239$ including taxes - priceline NYOP for $77 including taxes :)
This time I did use the PRICELINE link to start bidding.

Any guesses on this one? Based on the unreliable method of switching to the hotels.com view on hotwire and filtering down to free parking and airport shuttle I see Polo Beach Club as a possibility...
