  22. Initial bids for 4* and 3.5* up to $102 for 3/11 - 3/16 were rejected for DuPont Circle, White House, and Convention Center. Determined that rates on 3/16 were significantly higher on other sites, so shortened with ending date of 3/15. Then bid DuPont Circle 4* at $80 - rejected. Added Mt Vernon to DuPont Circle at $90 - accepted - Hotel Palomar. For 3/16 bid up to $95 for 4*, 3.5* and 3* for DuPont Circle (we were going to be changing hotels, so wanted to stay near) - rejected. Hotwire listed a 3* with good ratings on 3/16 for $99 - so I bought it - Hotel Normandy.
  23. I would like to keep the average below $125. I had hoped to stay below $100, based on past bids, but I guess the lower prices were for weekend nights. Thanks.
  24. I am having trouble booking a room in Washington DC in mid March, 3/11 thru 3/16. I was unsuccessful up to $102 for a 4* or 3.5* in White House, Convention Center, DuPont Circle, and Georgetown. Looking on Hotwire, I'm wondering if the high prices on Monday, March 16, may be driving the total higher. Do you think I will have to split my bid, and probably change hotels, to be successful in keeping the costs lower? Any advice will be appreciated.
