  3. Sorry I just figured out what the easy view tab was. So the hotel is showing as $78 cad from the regular hotwire site and says last person got Futures Inn. 8. Sorry for the long delay. I read others got this for about $45 so I put my first bid at $40 and it was accepted. I used a $2 off a day coupon i had too. Great stay. Great hotel. The breakfast was great in case anyone as wondering. And free cookies and water bottles too lol. Was only about an hour to Hampton beach from here. Worked perfectly for my family. My only gripe with PRICELINE is that we still can't put more than 2 persons in options for rooms and my family has 2 adults and 3 young kids. Luckily a friend was with us and they were given a room with 2 doubles so we switched. I wanted this specific hotel but knew I couldn't get it through HOTWIRE as no one had seemed to have won it from them recently.
  9. Trying to score a hotel in Markham close by Hwy 5 and the 404. Such as Holiday Inn Markham, Residence inn Markham or the Courtyard Markham. Found this one for 2 adults and 2 kids staying Nov 2-3, 2013. $69 a night. 3 Star Amenities Free Parking Free Internet Indoor pool(s) Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Self service laundry Trip advisor 3.5 rating and 75% reccomend. Just need a clean place as we're out at a wedding and crashing just for the night. Any thoughts?
  10. Based on Amenities was pretty sure I was going to get this hotel. Great for a little holiday shopping. The Suite is perfect for the family. Now just to make sure we get a two bed suite instead of a one bed. Amenities displayed: Fitness Center, Pool(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service), High-Speed Internet Access, Kitchenette, Accessible for the blind, Accessible for the deaf, Free Parking, Free Breakfast, Free Internet, Accessible path of travel, Accessible bathroom, Handicapped parking and Roll-in shower. Used the HOTWIRE link on here
  11. Plans ended up changing so we not longer are able to go on our trip. Thanks for the help though. Good to know though that these are the two properties as we'll be heading down in the new year.
  12. Thanks. I was hoping the 3* is the HOliday Inn express as it has really good reviews and rated #1 on Trip Advisor for the area. Although I think Trip Advisor only has it at a 2 1/2 star.
  13. Thanks. For PRICELINE there is also the area of Loconia about 11 miles away that have 1 and 2 star options as well. thanks
  14. I'm looking for a cheaper but not dungy hotel in or near Tilton NH so I can go to the outlets there. Dec 26-Dec 29 On Hotwire I found 2 options both for $62 a night but hope someone can give me an idea of what they may be 2 Star: Complimentary Breakfast: <amenity names only please... not descriptions> Business Center: Guests have access to business equipment and services; an additional charge may apply. High-Speed Internet Access: Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply. 3 Star: (Recommended in 95% of hotwire reviews) Fitness Center: Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply. Pool(s): Property offers at least one pool area; hours and dates of operation may be seasonal. Business Center: Guests have access to business equipment and services; an additional charge may apply. In Priceline I found: 2 Star and 1 Star both with free breakfast and rating of 7 or higher. Can anyone help me identify what these may be? I'm wearing of a 2 star hotel. Haven't stayed in less than 3 star in past ever. Thanks.
  15. This was a PRICELINE Bid. I used the PRICELINE link : ) Thanks for changing the title of the thread as well.
  16. Hooray, Bid was finally accepted... $152 for Holiday Inn Midtown New York. I was hoping for this or another so works out. I wish I had booked the 3.5* ones I found 3 months ago but life is all about learning and living with the decisions you make. All in all, this NYC bidding has been a great learning experience. Thanks all guys for all the help.
  17. Rejected at 135... Wow, how much higher should I consider going?
  18. Above was rejected... Help again. Thanks. Should I also keep trying the bidding scheme you game me earlier for 3.5 and 4*
  19. I want the three CPS, Mt and ts first then msg and esb. Price is important too if that makes sense.
  20. I'm willing to go up to $150 if needed for anything 3* and higher. My preferred zones would first be CPS, MTW, and TS. And then secondly MSG, ESB. Thanks again
  21. I'd like to stay in the CPS, MSG, MTE (but not if I may end up really far east at the Millenium) or TS areas if possible. As for smaller rooms, I know that's a risk. I'd love to get any of the holiday inns or Holiday inn express that some are getting. Any of the places that have the suites with kitchens would be awesome but I know you can't control the choice with PRICELINE and I'm okay with that. So would ESB, MSG and MTE all be a 15 minute walk to subway. I think we are going to be the Greyline hop on and off pass so as long as we're within walking of distance where they pick up. As for Sheraton Manhattan I know it's under new management and older but location is great so I'm fine with it. Hope that all helps. I think ESB and MSG are a little further away than we'd like from the midtown area. As for how much I'm willing to go up until. Is $120 too low? I'm willing to go higher if needed. Thanks
  22. I'm beginning to think that hotels are not getting any cheaper as the time approaches. I will have to lower my rating to a 3* hotel I guess. Can you suggest a bidding scheme and areas for 3*? Thanks
  23. hmm, I would love to get this one actually as it's affordable and a suite since I have kids... what are the chances of getting this one? likely or not if booking in this area?
  24. I just went up as far as $150 for the 3.5* and was still rejected. sigh....
