  1. $10 bid accepted for a middsize at MCO. Arrival 11 AM, May 4, Drop off 4 PM, May 10. Total with taxes $108.
  2. One night stay before a Blue Jays Game. Stayed here last year as well - right off the QEW - although in Oakville, priceline puts this in Missasaugua. Nice, clean place. Bid $25, recieved a counter offer to raise $6. Rejected, added Don Valley (that would have been ok too, but i thought we would end up here) and bid $27 and was accepted. $27 Bid, $11.16 taxes and fees, total : $38.16 USD
  3. Going to Cleveland for some baseball over the weekend of 6/23. Bid a couple days ago at $25 and was offered a second chance if I raised by $6. Declined, came back today and hit at $27 on the first try... Check-In Date: Fri, Jun 23, 2006 Check-Out Date: Sun, Jun 25, 2006 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $54.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $15.81 Total Charges: $69.81 Not a bad deal!
  4. While I generally agree with you, this Resort fee was not unique to Priceline users, it was charged to everyone at the hotel. Hey. for $25+$3 in resort fees, it was still well worth it.
  5. Stayed here on a Priceline bid from March 2-7, 2006. Paid $25/night + fees. This is a larger, older hotel on Rt 192 (Irlo Bronson Hwy) at the corner of Ponciana Blvd. Definitely a 2* property. The staff was very friendly, the room was worn and needed updating and some paint, etc. Was clean. Beds are old and pillows wafer thin. Housekeeping ket the room clean, but was inconsistent with things such as coffee for the room (sometimes left it, sometimes didnt), the amount of towels, soap, etc. Pool area was bit old and chairs could be replaced, but not bad. hot tub didnt realy get hot. The basketball courts and tennis area is usueless, needs repair. The hotel lobby was clean, lots of info available for attractions. Resturaunt and lounge looked fine, but didnt try either one. This place gets alot of tourists from tour groups, sports teams and overseas guests. No problems during my stay in this area. Parking is free, there is a shuttle to the attractions (Disney, Sea World, Universal) but the times are limited. There is a daily resort fee of $2.75-$3.00 that covers the in room safe and calls to 800 numbers. You can easily drive or walk to just about any eatery your in the mood for. For $25, definitely worth it. Just dont expect anything fancy or new.
  6. Started at $22 for Sand Lake, added Universal at $24 and the Disney at $25. Thought I would hit in Sand Lake, but the location doesn't matter much, I'h hitting Universal, some spring training and Downtown Disney, so this is fine. Reviews on tripadvisor are mixed, but all I am looking for his a bed. Ill post a review when I return.
  7. Was OK with Universal, Disney or Sand Lake areas. Thought I would end up in Sand Lake, but this is fine: Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 5 Subtotal: $125.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $24.05 Total Charges: $149.05 Thanks for your awsome board!
  8. Started in this zone at $23 and was rejected. Added Airport and upped to $25 and was accepted (either zone was acceptable, we just want a quick getaway). Stayed here last summer and was very pleased, happy to be coming back at the same price!
  9. It means nothing, i have had many bids accepted while "red-lined" in the past. If you read thsi board, research prices and go in informed, you can ignore the tricks PL uses to increase your bid.
  10. One night stay before switching to a rewards night elsewehere. $36 was rejected at 3* and 2 1/2*. Somewaht suprised I landed this as many hotels are booking up that weekend for the Grand Prix and Reds-Indians series. Total with taxes and fees $48.83.
  11. Pricline lists this hotel in the Mississauga Zone. I did not bid the Oakville Zone at all. When I decided to drop down to a 2*, I added Mississauga and my first bid there was at $26. Accepted. Last year I had the 2 1/2* Courtyard for $25 in this zone and it was a great place.
  12. One night stay - total with taxes and fees is $35.36. Had multiple bids rejected oacross sevral other zones for 2* and better for between $25 and $29. Then added Mississaugua at the 2* and was accepted at $26. Looks like a steal!
  13. Bid this for a friend...first bid... Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $240.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $42.87 Total Charges: $282.87
  14. Was rejected at $35, rebid at $37 and received a counter offer to raise by $10. Rejected and rebid at $42 and hit. Total for one night is $54.99 with taxes and fees.
  15. There is a very large convention in town that week - PITTCON I believe - The Convention Center Website says 23000 attendees.
  16. For a quick solo trip to see the mouse. Aftre having all 3* bids kicked out for Disney Zone, started a new bid for 3* Universla at $35. Received a counteroffer for $44, rejected. Added Florida Mall and rejected at $38, added West Disney rejected at $40, raised to $41 and added Kiss. and Viola... Sheraton Studio City Hotel 5905 International Drive Orlando, Florida 32819 Your Offer Price: $41.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 3 Subtotal: $123.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $23.64 Total Charges: $146.64 The lowest rate form their wesite was a AAA rate of $84 for 3/2 and 3/3 and $139 for 3/4. The reviews sound great on the hotel, i am looking forward to my trip.
  17. To my knowldge, the Days Inn does not participate in PL. Technically, the Days Inn falls in Freodnia (by about 200 yards) and Priceline only lists hotels in Dunkirk. When bidding Dunkirk, it list 1* and 2* options, the only hotle I have ever received at either star level is the Ramada (formerly a Four Points) in Dunkirk. Have won it about 5 times in the past few years. Alos in Dunkirk is a Best Western and Comfort Inn. I have not seen or heard of either of these coming ip through priceline.
  18. I know, where is Dunkirk? About 40 miles Southwest of Buffalo, this is the closest PL Zone to SUNY College at Fredonia (next town). Have a formal to attend at the college that weekend at this hotel. Have bid a few times in this zone and this is always the hotel that hits for me (anywhere between $35 and $40). Bid $37 a few days ago and was presented a counteroffer to raise by $10, rejected it. Waited 4 days and re-bid at $39 and hit. Your Offer Price: $39.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $78.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $15.43 Total Charges: $93.43 Ramada Inn And Conference Center Dunkirk 30 Lake Shore Drive East Dunkirk, New York 14048 Its not a bad hotel, right on the lake. A definite 2* but beats the Days Inn across town (and saves a few bucks too!)
  19. Stayed here for one night on 7/17/04 as a quick getaway to Canada's Wonderland. A terrific hotel and a great price ($25 US through priceline.) Had a king room with pullout sofa, desk and coffee table on the second floor. The hotel is quite new and looks it. It has a very nice business center off the main lobby and offers free high speed internet in each room. The TV service has many channels including some local affiliates out of Buffalo for those needing the US stuff. Breakfast is offered in the lobby - while a bit pricey is is quite good. The service, in the eatery and the hotel in general was top notch. There is a pool/spa and gym on the first floor which is accessed with the room key. Nothing fancy but very clean and nice. We were the only ones using them - we spent well over an hour in the pool. The hotel has easy access on/off the 401, 30 mins to downtown, 30 minutes to Wonderland, about 10-15 the the Airport (YYZ). Located in a business park, several dining options within a 10 minute drive down Erin Mills Parkway. The room and hotel were very clean and the service first class and very friendly - no problems with the bill, priceline, etc. FREE parking is great as well. Overall a very good stay, the only ngative is that it isn't that close to Toronto itself, but not far to drive either.
  20. One night/one room stay for a quick get away. Total with taxes and fees $33.29 US. Courtyard by Marriott Mississauga 7015 Century Avenue Mississauga, L5N 7K2
  21. Won this for 5 nights, August 25-30 and very happy! Taxes & Fees: $32.32 Total Charges: $227.32 :)
