  1. I attempted to book a hotel in the Fort Lee region for my parents who are going to a Yankees/Jays game. They're also going to do a Circle Line Boat Tour while they're in NYC, so they were open to the Secaucus-North Bergen area, as well. I saw that someone got the Doubletree Fort Lee/GWB (3.5*) for $80 last month and I was hoping for similar success. Unfortunately, this was not the case. I got up to $135 in each area for 3.5* and 3* and was unsuccessful (re-bids with additional zones). I then moved a little further out to the Hackensack and Meadowlands areas, starting at 3.5* and $110. I was rejected in each area up to $120. I jumped up to $130 in Hackensack and was accepted. I used the board's Priceline link.
  2. Sorry, I think I messed up the City Zone in the topic title. It's the Maryland - DC Suburbs region.
  3. I originally attempted to book at hotel in East Alexandria/Old Alexandria, VA, (and then also Mount Vernon, VA, and National Harbour, MD), but was unsuccessful. I got up to 3* $140 and then 2.5* $115, but that was as far as I was willing to go. I then turned to Camp Springs, MD. Yesterday, I bid $70 for 2.5* and was rejected. There were no re-bid options (that I noticed, anyway). Today, I bid $85 and was accepted. Normally, I increase in $5 increments, and a lower bid may have been accepted, but the date is quickly approaching and I wanted to ensure I secured a hotel. $105.63 total. I used the board's Priceline link.
  4. I originally bid $65 for 4* Inner Harbour and was rejected. Over two days, I re-bid in $5 increments, adding zones, and moving down to 3.5* and 3* and was rejected. On the third day, I started with a $90 4* bid and was accepted. It was nice surprise, considering my bid for 3* at $85 was rejected the day before. $112.58 total. I used the board's Priceline link
  5. I bid 3.5* for $60 and was rejected. I rebid at 3* for $60 and was accepted. $74.90 total. I used the board's Priceline link.
  6. I started with 3* in Pittsburgh North Shore for $60. I made 5 rebids by adding zones. I got up to $90 with no success I then tried Pittsburgh Downtown 4*. I started at $70 and was rejected. I added another zone and upped my bid to $75 and was countered with $91. I turned it down. I added another zone and upped my bid to $80 and was accepted. I was hoping for a hotel in the PNC stadium area, but I wanted to stay under $100 and wasn't willing to go below 3*. It looks like the Westin is only about a 15-20 minute walk to the stadium, so it has worked out nicely. $99.94 in total. I used the board's Priceline link.
  7. I bid $60 and was rejected. I added another zone and upped the bid to $65 and was accepted. $80.84 total. I used the site's Priceline link.
  8. Yes, I just searched Hotwire for Niagara Falls (ON), Nov 30, 2 rooms/5 adults and again was offered 3*, $89, Indoor pool(s), Smoke Free Rooms, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Centre, Free Internet, 95% recommendation
  9. Sorry, I didn't think to add those specifics. It's 2 rooms/5 adults. I just tried it again, using the HOTWIRE link, and it's still there. Thanks.
  10. Okay, I used your links. I'm trying to book two rooms for Nov. 30 in Niagara Falls. 3* Amenities include: Indoor pool(s), Smoke Free Rooms, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Centre, Free Internet Recommended in 95 % of Hotwire customer reviews. $89 Thanks.
  11. We weren't able to go, and instead, are looking to book a hotel for an alternate date, Nov 30. Could you please help in IDing the following hotel, 3* Amenities include: Indoor pool(s), Smoke Free Rooms, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Centre, Free Internet Recommended in 95 % of Hotwire customer reviews. THANK YOU.
  12. Hello! I need help IDing a 3.5* hotel in Niagara Falls. $90 USD for Sept. 13. Amenities include, smoke free rooms, free internet, high speed internet access, restaurant(s), golf nearby, tennis nearby, and wheelchair accessible. Thank you.
  13. I started my bid at $80, re-bid $85, and then won with $90. With taxes, $106.80/night and $427.20 for four nights.
  14. Just to let you know, I know a lot of people who are attempting to get those dates in a variety of zones in and around MSG who have been unsuccessful. I don't know if it's a particular busy time of the year or what, but no one seems to be getting the zones around MSG. A few of them resorted to the Downtown-Soho-Financial zone once they reached their max bid ($150), ending up with hotels in the Financial District. Also, if you want MSG, wouldn't Empire State Building, Midtown West, and Times Square zones be convenient for you, as well? Anyway, just a heads up. I hope you find something! Good luck!
  15. 4* Niagara Falls Doubletree Fallsview Resort & Spa By Hilton Started bidding at $50, used re-bid zones and won with $65. Note: After the $60 bid, I was notified that if I bid $17 more, I would "win" the bid. I turned down the offer and chose to continue to re-bid instead. I'm pleased, as are my parents who are off for a nice, mini getaway in the middle of the week.
  16. Started at $60 and increased with $5 increments using free rebids until successful with $70. I was given the option to increase my bid by nearly $20. I declined and increased by $5 and won. Total was $253.33 for three nights. Edit: I made an error with the dates. It should be 07/04/09-07/07/09
  17. Checking out our options, I tried $60 from 4* all the way to 2* and was warned that it was unlikely a bid would be accepted at that price. I worried that Whistler would get quite expensive and we'd have to stay in a 2* to stay within budget. I tried $65 at 4* to 2* and was declined. I then plugged in $70 at 3.5*, which was accepted. I'm quite pleased, especially since 2* was declined at $65 ... and I believe that 2* was the rating with the 'best deal'. The total is $88.37 after taxes and fees.
  18. Bid $70-85 at 4* and 3.5* using free rebids. Bid $60 at 3* and then $65 with free rebids. Successful with $65. Worked out to $74.50 per night with taxes and fees and $232.99 for four nights.
  19. Started at 3* at $50 and increased by $5 increments each day, also re-bidding for the same amount at 2.5* each day. I also tried 2* at $50 and $55. $65 was unsuccessful for both 3* and 2.5*, but I was finally successful with $70 at 3* - - Holiday Inn Parkside. It came to $83.36 with taxes and fees.
  20. We don't mind where we stay in The Black Hills, but prefer Spearfish, so I mostly concentrated on Rapid City and Spearfish. I started at 3*, Rapid City, $45 and then increased by $5 increments until $70, and then rebid at 2.5* at the same increments (re-bidding by adding Blackhawk & Custer - - both 2* zones). I then started bidding 2*, rebidding by adding new zones from $45-$65. Today, I started with 2.5*, Spearfish at $75. I was declined, but received an offer - - add $22 for a room. I choose not to, and instead added Rapid City at $80 and my offer was accepted at the Holiday Inn in Spearfish. I'm pretty happy since I was offered a chance to bid $22 more for a room, but declined and then got a room for only $5 more. Although, I'm slightly bummed because I was hoping to pay less, but it's the summer and a touristy area. It came to $97.89 with taxes and fees.
  21. 3* Radisson Hotel & Conference Center Bid $50 and $55 at 3* and then rebid both times at 2.5*. Finally, $60 at 3*.
  22. Started at $45 and then $50. Intended to bid $55, but bid $58 and won. One night. It came to $71 and change with taxes and fees.
  23. Oh, sorry. It would have been July 8, but we've decided to re-route our trip and won't be staying in Jasper after all. We'll be using PRICELINE for our trip and I'll be sure to use the links and provide winning information. Thanks.
  24. I need help IDing a couple of Jasper hotels, please. 1) 3* - smoke free, pool, restaurant, laundry 2) 2.5* - restaurant I've only used Priceline in the past, but they don't appear to have Name Your Own Price for Jasper (only Hinton, which is too far out of our way), so I'm thinking about trying Hotwire. I usually prefer a 3-3.5* hotel, but in areas that have limited/expensive accommodation, I'm willing to go lower, especially since it's only one night. Location is more important in this case, and I wanted to determine which would be the most ideal. Otherwise, we may have to re-route our trip. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
