  1. Hey folks- I just wanted to follow up with what we ended up doing. Turns out that we could book directly with Premier Inn for their South Wimbledon property. Total price was GBP167 / $266 for a Family room for 3 nights. No breakfast, but that's OK. Thanks for all your help, as always! Di
  2. Well, now that I got flights sorted, the Holiday Inn - Brentford Lock isn't showing up at all! :) Any ideas for this one? 16 Sept - 19 Sept 2 Adults, 1 Child Stratford Area Hotel 3 * $87 Amenities: Complimentary Breakfast Business Center Thanks! Di
  3. Thanks! We will probably go with the 3.5* Holiday Inn Brentford Lock, which shows up at $86/night. We stayed there previously in '08 (with help from this board!) and loved it. I'll definitely use the HOTWIRE links from here, once I secure the flights. *grumble*
  4. Used the above link. I neglected to mention this was for 2 Adults, 1 Child. Same search is still coming up with the 3* Brent Cross property I listed above. Also unknown and needing ID is the following: Walthamstow - Chingford 3* $81 Amenities: Complimentary Breakfast Laundry Facilities (Self-Serve) Thanks! Di
  5. Hi folks- For the dates of 16 September - 19 September (3 nights), Hotwire is showing the following: 3 stars $68 Brent Cross - Cricklewood area Amenities: Restaurant Business Center Any ideas on what this hotel might be? Thanks! Di
  6. It's a bit out of central London, but we loved our stay at the Holiday Inn Brentford Lock. It's a 1.5 mile walk to the nearest tube station (Boston Manor), but there's a bus stop right across from the hotel that will take you to the tube in 10-15 minutes. The hotel is modern and for a Holiday Inn quite upscale in my opinion. The high street in Brentford has several good restaurants, including a fantastic Bangladeshi place. When we stayed in 2008, we bid through Hotwire (using the BB HOTWIRE link, of course!) and got a rate of $88 per night, inclusive of taxes and fees. We are going to London again this September and will again stay at the Holiday Inn Brentford Lock, through Hotwire. It shows up as a 3.5 star in Ealing - Twickenham with a Fitness Center, Restaurant, and High Speed Internet Access. The rate is showing as $100 per night, inclusive of taxes and fees. (I will start my own thread as soon as I actually book.) Good luck!
  7. Thanks! And thanks to the mod that updated the thread title. :)
  8. Updated: I got Le Centre Sheraton Montreal for $98. I used the HOTWIRE link from this site. Thanks!
  9. 3 night stay, 2 adults, from 9/18-9/21 4* Downtown Montreal $100/night, "Lowest Price Guaranteed" and "Best Value" Amenities: Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Spa Services 3.5* Downtown Montreal $92/night, "Lowest Price Guaranteed" and "Best Value" Amenities: Fitness Center, Pool, Restaurant, Business Center, Spa Services TripAdvisor 3.0 out of 5 Thanks in advance! Di
  10. Hotwire listed the following amenities for this hotel: Fitness Center Guests have access to exercise equipment; an additional charge may apply. Restaurant(s) Property offers at least one restaurant on the premises; hours and days of operation may vary. High-speed Internet Access Guestrooms are equipped with high-speed Internet access; an extra charge may apply. The hotel is located within the zone; in the very south-west. If you click on the 'area details', you'll get a map. The hotel is in the area marked "Brentford."
  11. Used the HOTWIRE link from here. 3.5*, supposedly in Ealing-Hammersmith-Shepherd's Bush area. Actually is the Holiday Inn Brentford Cross, which is in the borough of Hounslow, west of Hammersmith & Fulham. For $69 (total came to $87.89) and for 1 night, I'm not too peeved. :) Closest rail station is a 1 mile walk, closest tube station a 1.5 mile walk (Boston Manor). I think this is a new listing for the hotel list here, since I don't believe there's a section for Ealing-Hammersmith-Shepherd's Bush.
  12. Unfortunately, an additional $70 per night would mean we were paying $162/night. Talk about insult to injury. :)
  13. First bid was $75 in Bloomsbury/Marble Arch - rejected Second bid was $80 , added Finsbury/Islington - rejected Third bid was $92, added Kensington-Earl's Court-Knightsbridge Accepted at $92, total comes to $444 for the whole stay, including taxes/fees. I really hope the hotel isn't as craptastic as some of the Tripadvisor reviews says it is. I probably shouldn't have gotten greedy and just accepted $89/night for the 3* Holiday Inn Express - Earl's Court from HOTWIRE. Oh well, lesson learned.
