  1. I am getting a hotel for $109 a night. I thought it was the Embassy Suites, but it lists a indoor pool and Brea Embassy Suites has an outdoor. If I could get some help, I would appreciate it. Thanks! free parking suite fitness center restaurant (s) self-serve laundry free breakfast indoor pool (s) pool (s) business center internet access
  2. Going to Disneyland this weekend, but it is hard to get a hotel room near Disneyland. It is also the weekend for NAMM. So I figured to stay below $65, I was going to have to go farther out. We have stayed here before and it is a straight shot down the freeway to Disneyland, so it won't be bad.
  3. Started at $40 Rebid at $42 and then $45. Just needed an inexpensive hotel for a few hours of sleep before I drive home. Used the PRICELINE link.
  4. Started bidding at $82 Counter offer $102 Then I bid the following: $85 $86 $87 $88 My bid was accepted at $89. I used the PRICELINE link
  5. I started out at $81 and increased my bids until I reached $90, without any success. The next day I decided to start at $88, figuring that the Bonaventure was won with a similar bid. My bid was successful with the Hilton Checkers. Looks like it could be a nice Hotel. Hopefully I can find a more reasonable parking lot by this hotel, like I do with the Bonaventure. I did use the PRICELINE link ;)
  6. Started at $76 was counter offered to $95 Tried $78, $80, $81, and then accepted at $83. I used the PRICELINE link. Cant figure out why it is so high. Hotwire keeps lowering the price, but Priceline hasn't. Oh well, we like the Hotel and will have a good time
  7. I started at $71 was countered to $95 Tried $74, $76, $78, $80,$82 Was told no. I have usually never paid more than 75 for a room downtown on the weekend before. I need some help. I did use the PRICELINE link. Thanks in advance. Staci
  8. Looking at 9/30/11-10/2/11, 2 Adults $104 night Amenities: Bed Choice, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Ctr, High Speed Internet, Spa. Is this the Omni or the Bonaventure? I haven't seen the Spa icon for the Bonaventure before....
  9. I did remember to use the PRICELINE link through this website :)
  10. For a $41 bid, I received the Peacock Suites. This hotel was good for the price. Walkable to Disneyland, Continenetal Breakfast, and enough room for 4 people or more. They do have an $8 parking fee, but there is no other parking to get around it.
  11. I tried for another 2 1/2 star hotel and was upgraded to the Holiday Inn Anaheim Resort. My $42 bid was accepted. This was a nice hotel, but not walking distance to Disneyland. They do have a resort bus (for a fee), that goes to the hotel all day long.
  12. Was bidding a 3* for this area hoping to get the embassy suites. Bid $44 plus $10 Bonus Money and my bid was upgraded to the 3.5* Crown PLaza Fullerton. It looks like a nice Hotel, but was hoping for a free breakfast! Oh well, I will think positive and know we will like this new Hotel :) I did use the PRICELINE link
  13. My dad ended up buying this through Hotwire. It is the Crown Plaza Anaheim. The price went up to $59. I told him to use the HOTWIRE link, but unsure if he did :) Staci
  14. I am finding a hotel for 9/25-926 - 2 adults with the following icons: Fitnes, pool, restaurant, bus.ctr, laundry, hi-speed internet. $56 plus resort fee I need some help on identifying this hotel. I am hoping that it is the Crown Plaza Anheim. Thanks for the help, Staci
  15. If driving isn't a problem, the I would suggest you get a place a little farther away. You will not have to worry about the resort or parking fees. I got the 3* Embassy Suites North Anaheim for $50. It comes with a full breakfast and a manager's reception at night. I belive that it takes about 10-15 minutes to drive down the street to get to Disneyland. Thanks, Staci
  16. I have been trying for 2 days to get the Embassy Suites in North Anaheim. I was bidding up to $60 for a 3 1/2* with no luck. I went down to a 3* figuring I would try for the Residence Inn at $50, but instead was told that I had gotten the 3* Embassy Suites. I am really happy that I got this hotel, but am confused on the change in stars. I did use the PRICELINE link. Staci
  17. I did try to do the bidding strategy you reccommended for a lower star. Then I saw that someone had gotten a 3* in the Sorrento Mesa area for $75. Since I had the Entertainment Book discount, I figured I would try there also. I ended up getting the Courtyard by Marriott SAn Diego, Sorrento Mesa. It looks good and they have a refrigerator and a pool which are important to me. I called and asked if I could get a room with 2 beds and was told that I would have a room w/ a king and a sofabed. Seems like it is the same thing.... I paid $69 plus the $10 a night from the Entertainment Book. Thanks for the help. Staci
  18. Yes I would like to bid on the costal zones first and if I have to go with Mission Valley zone.
  19. I am looking for a 2 1/2* for around $65 for 7/29-8/1. I would like to get something in Oceanside, Carlsbad, Coastal San Diego, or I would do Mission Valley if I had to. I am looking for something that would possibly have a pool and a comp. brkfst and I believe I have a better chance with a 2 1/2 for these amenities. I believe the 2 1/2* rating will keep me from getting the Mission Valley Resort, since it seems like it is rated a 2*. We stayed there last year and hated it, so I am leery of bidding on the Mission Valley area if I might get this hotel. Any help with bidding strategies would be appreciated. :)
  20. I am still trying to find a hotel for 7/29-8/1. I understand that it isn't going to be waterfront for the $70. I have found a few on hotwire, for about $80, but can't figure out what 1 of them is. I have listed all the amenities and such in an above post. I fgured I would try priceline, because hotwire isn;t giving me very many options. I need something with at least a pool. I would love to have a micro/refrig in the room, but if not we can llive without. I really do not care about star ratings as long as I can have the pool. I notice that Motel6 in Oceanside, has a pool and some other things I want, but I do not know if this has ever come up on priceline. Any help with this would be appreciated.
  21. When I stay in Downtown L.A., I park at Union Station for $6 a 24 hour period. We then buy metro passes and use them to get to the hotel and then to Universal Studios, Hollywood, etc. It has worked for us the last couple of years. I will not pay that much money to park at the hotels :) Staci
  22. I am still seeing the same hotel on hotwire for $83. It doesn't have the suite icon. I can only get that when I do 2 adults with no child.
  23. The dates are for 7/29-8/1/10. It wouldn't let me edit my post.
