  1. I normally do not book rooms this far out, but I was browsing on PRICELINE and saw this PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal. Knowing that hotel rooms in Fort Lauderdale can be quite pricey, I decided to lock in this deal and I am quite satisfied with the result. Express Information: Includes FREE breakfast and internet Pets allowed Fitness Center Business Center Restaurant Indoor or Outdoor pool Current Hyatt website price: $307.00 Room Subtotal.......$87.00 Trip Protection...........5.00 Taxes & Fees..........17.16 TOTAL..................109.16
  2. I won the bid on my first try at $43 per room. Price: $43 ($172 for 4 rooms) Taxes: $37.60 Total: 209.60 Hotel was neat. Staff was friendly. Included breakfast was not a luxurious buffet, but had a nice variety. I would stay here again.
  3. I have been watching the Country Inn & Suites for several weeks as I did not want to get the 2 1/2* Ramada. I noticed that someone had just posted a winning bid of $30 and received Country Inn & Suites. I decided to try the same bid and was thrilled to get the same hotel as it receives great reviews on all of the travel websites. Date - April 2, 2011 Rooms - 2 Bid - $30 Total - $75.42 I used the PRICELINE link on this website.
  4. Using your PRICELINE link, I was able to get the 3* Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront for $60 plus $14.55 in taxes and fees for a total of $74.55. I am only staying one night 12/9/10. I do have to admit that I had to work for this one. I have been bidding for a week and was not able to get a hotel for the price that I was looking to pay. I had gone up to a $70 bid. I decided to give it one last try before getting a hotel by another means. I was surprised when $60 was accepted. Of course, this was a 12:30am on 12/8/10, just a day and a half before the room is needed. Thanks for this helpful website.
  5. Thanks for your input. When I went to the HOTWIRE website (using your link) the Hilton did not appear one of the hotels offered. So, I went back to PRICELINE and was able to get the Cocoa Beach Hilton for $60 plus $14.55 fees and taxes for a total of $74.55.
  6. I have been looking as a one night stay for December 9, 2010. I have been bidding on 3* hotels in this area through Priceline, bidding as high as $70 per night, but to no avail. So, I was hoping to find a good deal on Hotwire.
  7. Hotwire is showing a 2 1/2 * hotel for Cocoa Beach (Cape Canaveral) with fitness, pool, and laundry facilities. I don't see anything on the hotel list that matches exactly. Could this be the Comfort Inn or do you think it might be a new property not on the list. Any thoughts would be appreciatd.
  8. I had tried for a couple of weeks hoping to get a bid accepted at less than $60. However, I was not successful. The best price for a 3* hotel at the Miami airport through PRICELINE's non-bidding site was $149 for May 25. Today, I decided to start my bidding for a 3* at Miami airport at $64. This bid was rejected, but I was told that I could have a free rebid if I added $17 to my bid which would have made it $81. I decided to use my free rebids and bid again at $69 and then was accepted at $74. My bid............$74.00 Insurance...........5.00 Taxes/Fees.......17.72 TOTAL..............96.72 The listed price for this room on the Holiday Inn website was $189. This was the same price listed through Priceline's non-bidding site. Travelocity, Expedia, and Hotels.com all have it listed at $190. Of course, I used the PRICELINE link on BetterBidding.com. I am very happy to get this room for less than half of the listed prices. :)
  9. We just got back and I wanted to share our terrific experience with this hotel. The man at the desk was very friendly and even granted my request of 2 double beds even though the hotel was very full and it took him a few minutes to find a room on the 16th floor. The hotel is completely non-smoking so that was not a concern. I assume that this the rooms have been recently upgraded because everything looked great from the drapes, the marble sink, and the 32 inch widescreen flat TV. While we didn't have a chance to use the pool or the exercise equipment, the pool looked nice and the exercise equipment was equipped with monitors that you could watch while working out. For $69 I felt like we got a great deal. While 3 stars is right for this hotel, it is a very nice 3 star property.
  10. I started my bidding at $49 for a 2.5* in the Executive Park district and was rejected. Using free rebids I increased my bid to $59 and then to $69 which was accepted. Priceline also gave me a free increase in rating to 3*. I was increasing my bids more than I usually do because I needed a room for the next night. While $69 was more than others had paid for a 3* in this area, I was pleased, especially when I found the following rates: Expedia - $169 Orbitz - $199 Marriott - $199 My final price was $87.31. Price for room -$69.00 Taxes - 18.31 Total - $87.31
