  1. Free parking, Pet friendly, Airport shuttle, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access, Golf nearby Have stayed here before, very nice hotel for the money. The round hotel tower is a nice novelty.
  2. Hilton Memphis 3.5* $61 per night This is a nice hotel, I have stayed here before. Complimentary: Free parking Amenities: Airport shuttle, Business center, Fitness center, Golf nearby, Internet access, Pet friendly, Pool(s), Restaurant(s)
  3. This hotel has had a MAJOR upgrade. I was not very excited about this win because I had stayed here before and it was a little run down. But we arrived and discovered the entire hotel was undergoing a huge remodel. Our room was fantastic with what appeared to be all new furniture, carpeting, etc. The lobby was closed due to renovation, but was not a big inconvenience as they had a workable solution. I would stay here again and be thrilled if I won this hotel in the future at an even higher price. Amenities: Free parking, Free Internet, Indoor pool(s), Airport shuttle, Smoke-free rooms, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Self-service laundry, Internet access, Golf nearby
  4. Complimentary - Free Breakfast, Free internet, Free parking Amenities - Business Center, Golf nearby, Self-service laundry, Smoke-free rooms Accessibility - In-room accessibility Trip advisor gives it good reviews. Have never stayed there but keeping fingers crossed. I forgot to mention, it gave me $10 off the final price because I came from Betterbidding. It was totally automatic and unexpected. Nice extra bonus! But I think it is a promotional thing ending tonight.
  5. Free Internet, Pet friendly, Airport shuttle, Fitness center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business center, Internet access Not happy with the price, but a lot of the hotels I had been looking at jumped in price so I decided I better book something quick.
  6. Free Parking, Business Center, Airport Shuttle, Indoor outdoor pool, fitness center, non smoking The part that helped me is that it said at the bottom- Hint: you've booked here before;) Since I had only booked two Memphis hotels through Priceline I knew which one it would be. Not sure how it knew who I was, except I used the same computer and used Betterbidding to link to PRICELINE every time.
  7. We have never stayed here but anxious to give it a try.
  8. We have stayed in the hotel three other times. Each time I am successful with a bid of $50 per night. It is a great value. Hotel Memphis Memphis Southeast 2625 Thousand Oaks Boulevard, Memphis, TN 38118 Fomerly the Memphis Marriott. Free Internet in room Indoor Swimming Pool Outdoor Swimming Pool Free Parking Restaurant Airport Shuttle Business Center Fitness Center

  10. Surprise! This was not listed on Betterbidding as a 4 star hotel in Liverpool. But it looks nice enough, so no complaints, just surprised. Second surprise! Priceline said based upon previous bids my bid had very little chance of success. I made the offer anyway and got it. That is it, I am completely booked for this trip thanks to this website. Now I just have to find a rental car.
  11. Thanks once again for this great site. Less data to go on, but the winning price for this hotel hasn't varied by more than $20 over the past 4 years. London and Edinburgh are now in the books, just have to figure out Liverpool. Almost no previous data at all to go off of. My wife was very nervous with me waiting until a week before we left to get the reservations, but I assured her that BetterBidding would work wonders just like it has in the past.
  12. Started at $75 and worked my way up. On our first bid of $75 we received a reply that they would not accept $75, but we could rebid right away at $92 without changing anything. So I knew the correct number to hit was between $75 and $92. Thanks for this site, it is awesome!
  13. I don't know if this is the right place to add this information, but it could really help somebody. The hotel is very available on weekdays and generally sells out on weekends. So if you want to bid on this hotel, only include weekdays and you should get a great deal. You will probably not succeed with weekend bidding as it normally sells out every weekend. If you need both weekend and weekdays, maybe bid the weekday on Priceline and book the weekend direct with the hotel. Great hotel!!!!
  14. How do I edit my post? This was actually in North-Tesuque (Not Plaza) and is the Hilton Santa Fa Resort and Spa at Buffalo. By the way, we are loving it and hoping to extend our stay.
  15. Amenities listed on Hotwire for this hotel: Fitness Center Restaurant Business Center High speed internet access Also, it showed the customer satisfaction at 80%
  16. Thanks for all your help! I finally booked some rooms: Hotwire: 3 rooms Friday June 10 Millenium Broadway (4*) $199 6 rooms Saturday June 11 checking out Monday June 13 Millenium Broadway (4*) $170 I of course used the link on this website to get to HOTWIRE
  17. Sorry for all of the posts, but the prices move faster than I can react. Luckily they seem to keep dropping. On Hotwire, I am seeing a 4.5 star hotel in SOHO for $119. The amenities match the W Hotel. My question is do we know if this is the W Hotel Downtown or the W Hotel Union Square. They both seem to be in the SOHO boundaries. Thanks for your help.
  18. Ok, took a break to see what would happen to prices. They just droopped today, so I need advice regarding Hotwire. I am looking for 4 rooms for 6/10-6/13, Times Square, 4 star The price dropped considerably and there is an offer at $177. The amenities include: Fitness Center, Restaurant, Business Center and High Speed Internet Access .2 - 1.0 miles from city center Recommended by 80% of Hotwire customers Checking out the Hotwire hotel thread, the amenities narrow it down to: Inter-Continental Times Square Millenium Broadway Hilton Times Square Crowne Plaza Is there any way to narrow it down more based upon the distance from city center or by the customer recommendation rate? Thanks for your time.
  19. Scottlevin, Reading through your post again I understand how you got so many bids out of just 6 extra re-bid locations. The combinations are certainly more than anybody could really need. I used your suggestion and started bidding at $135. I got all the way up to $210 without an acceptance and without a counter-offer. I stopped there until I talked to my group. I think my plan is now to book some rooms at full rate, that are cancellable, just to make sure we have rooms somewhere. Then as the date draws closer I can try again. And then keep bidding every week or so until I get rooms or until I have to use the hotel that I already booked. Is that the best way to go about it at this time?
  20. That is AWESOME!!!! I was just trying to figure it out from your hotel list thread. Now I understand. So I came up with 6 areas: Brooklyn Coney Island Long Island City Madison Square Garden Queensboro Upper East Side In theory, if I check this each time before a bidding session, I will not end up in the wrong section of town. The only way I could get burned is if they change the rankings after I start my bidding. So am I correct about these 6 locations? Thanks for your help!!!!
  21. Would either of you please tell me what the 6 areas are? I will be sure to link from this site when bidding and then to report back to this site the final price. Thanks!
  22. I was able to find the following zones to use: TSTD - This is the area I want Brooklyn - They do not have any 4 star or better hotels Long Island City - They do not have any 4 star or better hotels Madison Square Garden - They do not have any 4 star or better hotels What areas am I missing?
  23. I am not assuming I will get a room for $160. Hotwire shows a price of $243 for a 4 star in Times Square. Since somebody guessed that I would get a room through Priceline for roughly $175-$205 I figure that is around $50 savings per room. I realize there is no guarantee I will get one in that price range, but I am willing to try. No, I was only able to identify 3 zones. Could you please tell me what are the 6 re-bid zones that I can use to bid on a 4 star hotel in TSTD?
  24. thereuare - I have been looking all over for my hotwire thread, I just now realized that you moved it here. Thank you for your response. To answer other questions: I am looking for a total of 10 rooms: 4 rooms 6/10 - 6/13 5 rooms 6/11 - 6/13 1 room 6/12 - 6/13 All of the rooms but one just need to be for 2 people. I am willing to take my chances on the room for 4 people and will find a way to accommodate the extra two people elsewhere if need be. I am willing to take my chances that the bid for the 5 rooms will end up at a separate hotel from the first 4 rooms. I am willing to take my chances that the 1 room ends up at a different hotel. While I am comfortable with all 6 hotels listed as 4* in the Priceline hotel thread, I am willing to risk that a new 4* is added that I don't know about. Bottom line is that I am talking about a combined 23 room nights. The extra $50 that I would spend at Hotwire is over $1,000. For that kind of money, I will take may chances with Priceline. I want a 4* in TSTD (for reasons mentioned earlier in this thread). So just to confirm: I will make my initial bid for Times Square. If it is not accepted I will add Brooklyn and raise my bid. If it is not accepted I will add Long Island City and raise my bid. If it is not accepted I will add Madison Square Garden and raise my bid. If it is not accepted I will wait 24 hours and start all over again where I left off the previous day. Is that correct? I am safe adding those 3 locations because they do not have 4 star hotels. Do I raise my bid $5 at a time or $10?
