Hi All - I haven't used priceline in ages but remember this forum was always helpful (from what friends have told me, this is one of the most valuable forums on the internet for booking travel!) Dates - December 10 to December 13. Zones - First Choice - Midtown East, Midtown West, Times Square Second Choice - Central Park South, Empire State Building Star Rating - First Choice - 4 Second Choice - 3.5 Price - 4 star - upto 200$ (if this is even doable?) 3.5 star - upto 150$ (if this is even doable?) Of course, like everyone, would like to get the most for the least, so any help you can provide would be MUCH appreciated. I would really like a 4 star hotel, but have read this is a busy season.

This is the first time I am having some issues... so I look forward to any suggestions. Thanks! I would love to get a 4 star for under 100-110 bucks a night with all taxes and fees in - I know on HOTWIRE the Rimrock Hotel (4.5 star) is gong for 130$ ish...

I am trying to book 2 nights in Banff, Alberta for April 25 and April 26. All hotels on PRICELINE are truely 4-star except the Banff Park Lodge, which is actually a 3-star hotel and listed as a 4-star on PRICELINE. Anyone with any experience in this category or bidding strategies? I tried 69$ and 79$ today and both got rejected. Thanks in advance for any help.

Did you end up bidding on a 4-star in Banff? I haven't seen any 4-star bids.
