  1. This was a Sheraton Four Points about 6 years ago, then a La Quinta and now a Best Western. It's a huge place (500+ rooms). I wouldn't expect much for $29 but look at tripadvisor.com for reviews. I personally always try to get something with "interior" corridors when traveling with kids.
  2. Sawgrass Marriott (100% sure). If it's 82 on hotwire, then it's $65-69 on priceline. It's a 3* on priceline. Great amenities (family and adult pools, free mini golf, kids activities) and shuttle to their private beach facility called the "cabana club" where you can use the facilites at no charge. Food and drink is alittle pricey.
  3. It was a Hilton until about 3 years ago. It is being renovated (could be complete) and is to become a Holiday Inn. The Holiday Inn opening was planned way back in March so I don't know what the delay was/is. If you go to holidayinn.com and enter Sunrise, Florida you'll see the listing for it. I'd guess the conversion is very soon as holidayinn.com is selling rooms for this location as of 10/15/07. So by the time you stay it will a Holiday Inn Hotel and Suites.
  4. I was thinking the same thing but maybe a long afternoon/evening walk to the TexMex Restaurant???? The spicy food worked with my first born......
  5. Sheraton Yankee Clipper Beach Resort Ft Lauderdale Beach Area 1140 Seabreeze Boulevard Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33316 Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $59.00 Subtotal: $118.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $22.22 Total Charges*: $140.22 won on 1st bid :)
  6. The rooms are all new with the "Hyatt Place" layout (like the pictures you've seen). The only things remaining to renovate are the public areas (lobby and breakfast area) then it will be re-named.
  7. I searched HOTWIRE with 2 adults and didn't see the results you mentioned so I am going to assume it's 2 adults and 1 kid or 2 adults and 2 kids. Using those I see the 2* you mentioned and it's a match for the Ramada Inn Convention Center I-Drive at 8342 Jamacian Court. If you do a package search (hotel and car) for your dates with 2 adults and 1 or 2 kids you'll see how it matches.
  8. it is NOT the Omni Champions Gate. "champions gate" is part of the name of this zone/area on hotwire. I prefer the Sheraton Safari as it's in the Lake Buena Vista Area while the Radisson is just off 192 in Kissimmee.
  9. Esa Orlando-Universal Studios Universal Studios - Sea World 5620 Major Boulevard Orlando, Florida 32819 407-351-1788 --------------------------------------------------------------- Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $29.00 Subtotal: $116.00 Taxes & Service Fees: $23.51 Total Charges*: $139.51 failed at $25
  10. Sonesta Hotel Coconut Grove Coral Gables - Coconut Grove 2889 Mcfarlane Road Coconut Grove, Florida 33133 failed at $51
  11. Amerisuites Orlando Airport Orlando Airport (MCO) 7500 Augusta National Drive Orlando, Florida 32822 failed at $41
  12. won on 1st bid.... Amerisuites Orlando Airport Orlando Airport (MCO) 7500 Augusta National Drive Orlando, Florida 32822
  13. best guess - (99% sure) The Diplomat Country Club & Spa 501 Diplomat Parkway
  14. failed at $58 Four Points Sheraton Lehigh Valley 3400 Airport Road Allentown, PA 18109
  15. my best guess - Crowne Plaza at 12120 International Drive (not CP Universal)
  16. don't know it if participates but since the new Sheraton Downtown (also 3*) wins around $65 I doubt you'll win the Grand unless the Sheraton (and Marriott) are sold out. The Grand Bohemian does show on HOTWIRE as a 4* (and in their package products) along with another 4* which I think is the new Lexington.
  17. 3.5* bidding???? :) :) :o since it's a new month you can use one of my allotment of "edits". That leaves me with 19 for the rest of the month, correct??
  18. it was worth a "shot" as some hotels don't supply rates to HOTWIRE for more than just 2 adults.
  19. try searching HOTWIRE for 2 adults and 1 or 2 kids to see if it changes from the Sheraton......
  20. It just seems that PL inventory is not available yet. I would bid up to the maximum your willing to spend for the 3* maybe once a week or every other week for now. If you were willing to spend the $62 for the other place then you could use that as your maximum bid.
